Several towns, cities and counties around the nation are caving to President Trump's threat to pull funding, and abandoning their "sanctuary" pledges to shield illegal immigrants from federal authorities.
Dayton, Ohio, dropped a policy that restricted the city’s cooperation with immigration officials pursuing illegal immigrants arrested for misdemeanors or felony property crimes, according to the Dayton Daily News. Police Chief Richard Biehl said federal authorities will no longer be impeded by the city when pursuing illegal immigrants being held by his department.
Other communities that have dropped policies of shielding illegal immigrant suspects from Immigration and Customs Enforcement include Miami-Dade and Dayton, are Saratoga, N.Y., Finney County, Kan., and Bedford, Penn., according to The Center for Immigration Studies, which keeps a list of sanctuary communities.

I visited the local “Farmworker Outreach Center” yesterday as they were having a big yard sale .. They were raising money ahead of a big immigration meeting next week.
They let their liberal voter allegiance overload the need for fiscal integrity and then start checking with their city finance comptrollers and find out how screwed they’d be.
It’s not a threat.
Legally allow victim’s families to sue these politicians personally for the loss of their family members due to the sanctuary BS!!! We The People must demand that law.
I think that the Steinle family has already started a suit against the City and County of San Francisco.

Some politicians are probably glad to have the cover to remove the unassimilated “takers”; it would have been impossible without Trump’s actions/words.
Often businesses (including the public school system) and landlords want them, and elect politicians who will turn a blind eye to them (or at least pay lip service to the hands-off policy).

In my opinion, the familes of victims should sue Moonbeam Brown, the Major of SF, each member of the City Council in SF personally. Sue everyone who voted for this against the law outrage.

Recently, New York State Governor Andy Cuomo has publicly stated that he wants New York to be the first "Sanctuary State".
This announcement comes right after Andy's announcement that he wants NY State to offer "Free College" to all New Yorkers who earned less than $125,000 per year
after at least one year residency.
Andy will do just about anything to get in front of the camera and get 'name recognition' among the Progressives
to heighten himself for a 2020 Presidential run.
Needless to say, none of this has yet been investigated how this will impact on the State budget; rite .. ya think ?
If you are serious about gaining a liberal politicians attention go after his federal funding!!!
We'll never get Congress to pass such a law, no matter which party is in charge. Sad, but true.
OTOH, my own opinion here is that law enforcement should ARREST and INDICT the mayors and city councils of EVERY SANCTUARY CITY and charge them as co-conspirators and co-criminals in EVERY CRIME an illegal alien commits in their "sanctuary cities."
It's important to note that the EXECUTIVE BRANCH (President Donald J. Trump, as one of his powers as President) has the responsibility to uphold the laws of the country.
I personallly would love to see Trump issue an EO to arrest Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel (for starters) and order him charged as a co-conspirator and co-criminal in all the laws broken by illegal immigrants.
It would be DELICIOUS.
Have DHS/ICE identify these “sanctuary” cities, counties, regions, etc.
Once that is done, have DHS/ICE set up command centers in those regions.
Then, let the round up begin. If any of the local government or law enforcement interferes, they get arrested too, and charged with aiding and abetting, and every single other federal law on the books regarding illegal aliens.
Then go after the enablers and employers of illegals, and their support network. Prison and confiscation of assets for aiding and abetting. Also, E-verify, along with enforcing I-9 requirements will work.
The only way to discourage illegals from coming in is to make it not worth it financially, and legally.
Want to go to federal prison and have a felony record for hiring an illegal to pick your crop? Or build your garage?
Sanctuary Cities, States, University, Schools, .... whatever.. PULL all TAX-DOLLAR Support FOREVER!!
If they collapse .....Tough!

I was surprised to see that NY had more illegal alien residents then CA. Because of proximity to the border, I thought it would be the opposite.
