I call bullshit, if things were as bad as described, there’d be nothing in the garbage but inedible trash. Another boo-hoo job, nice try, Gusty...

That is actually happening, esp. in their jails. Easy to search for, but not for the faint of heart to read. Very disturbing stuff.

You can safely bet that Maduro and his gang of sycophants aren’t going hungry.

What’s the fastest animal in the world?

An Ethiopian chicken.

First heard that one when I had an Ethiopian roommate. Never did tell it to him...

I hate to say they “deserve it,” but its tough to feel any other way

I understand. I'm a conservative in a blue/lib state, so when red-staters complain about crazy leftist crap that goes national, I want to say "Hey! Don't look at me!"

I have to believe (I hope?) there are Venezuelans who are "normal" and DON'T deserve it.

I’m surprised the loathsome creatures at PETA haven’t called for the extermination of the Venezuela population in order to save the wildlife.

Well...Chavez did have financing and propaganda help from Iran and Cuba.
till required a bunch of stupid gimmedats to get him in but it wasn’t entirely domestic.
I wonder if Soros pitched in too since years ago I remember arguing with liberals about Chavez when he first got in, predicting that food shortages and famine would inevitably follow.

Venezuela is quickly devolving into the worst of the Great Leap Forward, an ill-advised attempt at collective modernization that ended up killing 45 million Chinese from essentially a human-induced famine.

The possibility of millions of Venezuelans literally starving to death is about to happen within as little as two years, in my (sadly) humble opinion.

The peoples living along the rivers and streams probably aren’t affected as the city dwellers are. Those people have been subsisting on the products from the rivers for centuries.

A lot of Venezuelans are in the same position we were when Obama won. We didn’t vote for him, but we got him, good and hard.

Communism is grand, isn’t it? Venezuela is sitting on some of the largest pockets of natural resources in the world while its population starves to death.

Argentine liberal prez Nestor Kirchner helped out too.... sent briefcases full of cash to the communists in Venezuela.

Kirchner’s the guy whose election was aided by meddling US democrats like Carville, same way the libs meddled in Israel’s election.

Screwed up Argentina’s economy too.

I'd get busy building a secret garden and possibly getting some livestock if. I could trade something or. It. That is, if I were allowed to own any land. In Venezuela I'd imagine the state owns everything. I guess I'd have to adopt the government's mindset and just steal some land back from them...: )

Venezuela won’t even let our NOAA aircraft investigate hurricanes going through their airspace, nor does Mexico.

Food drops probably can’t fly, either.
