EPIC! Trump Brings Coal Miners to Executive Order Rescuing Coal Industry from Liberal Politicians
GP ^ | 02/16/17 | Jim Hoft

President Trump signed legislation today rescuing coal miners and the coal industry from hateful liberal politicians.

Several coal miners were in the room today for the special event.

Trump promised to rescue coal miners during the campaign.
Hillary promised to kill all coal mining jobs and put thousands of families out of work.
Today President Trump made good on that promise.

The legislation could help protect coal miners from legislation that blocks American companies from mining new reserves.

During the event President Trump asked a coal miner to say a few words.
The miner from West Virginia was very happy.

This was epic!

As long as natural gas is so cheap, coal mining will not make a comeback.

Not to brag...

But I bought lots of coal stocks and ETFs during the darkest days of obama.

They are doing quite well now...

Good for you...Glad Trump did this. Damn China gets away with unbridled pollution...and we have to balance their deficiency?

“As long as natural gas is so cheap, coal mining will not make a comeback.”

I disagree.

They aren’t mutually exclusive.

Natural gas isn’t available everywhere. Some remote areas have wood stoves for heat and wood can be expensive in places like Nevada etc. So they can supplement their stove with chunks of coal as long as the stoves can handle the heat. It stores better than firewood too. Ive been considering buying a few hundred pounds for a emergency backup, even though wood is plentiful here, and a forest permit is only 20$. Wood does rot outside even under tarps. I know a wood shed is better, but it would be the size of a one car garage.

They are both useful, and should be employed accordingly.

And I have FB friends crying about the soiling of the waterways within the coal areas. ‘Oh why is he (Trump) doing this?’. Sheeple are gonna believe and decry what their Media tells them to believe and decry.

We have 400 years of coal. Might as well use it.

Montana mines lots of coal and sends it west on dozens of long trains each day.

Montana generates lots of coal-fired electricity and send it to the BPA grid that serves Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and California.

Coal will always be a great source of heat and power.

GO TRUMP!

Fox and Friends, “the only honorable morning show on TV” according to our president, had the miner who spoken at the Oval Office yesterday on their show this morning. What an articulate man! He had no warning that he would be called on to speak at the bill signing event, yet handled it beautifully.
That is the difference between President Trump and the elites. He respects Americans and feels comfortable calling on them to speak because he thinks they have worthwhile things to say. An elite thinks a mere worker would have nothing cogent to express in such an august setting. Hey, elites, you are missing wonderful moments such as this one by overlooking the “commoners” who know more than you will ever know.

I read the article. The author is confusing. Is it an EO or a bill from the legislator?

When I was young we had wood a wood stove, my dad used to buy coal bricks. Coal wrapped in paper. Stacked real nice on the side porch. Kept the house warm too. That was a long time ago. 😁

That’s 100% malarkey.

The smoke was the biggest concern with coal.

Anyhow, steam now comes out of the pipes and NOT smoke, which is bad, of coal mines today.

The ash, that are mentioning, fertilizes the soil. Ash puts nutrients in the soil just like compost.

You’re friends are thinking of fracking for Oil which can pollute the local fresh water. Indeed it does affect the water sometimes, and certainly needs to be addressed. Although it’s not as bad as the Leftist claim. The good news is the fracking industry along with local governments are taking steps to prevent it in the future.

The coal miner that spoke during the signing yesterday was on Fox & Friends this morning. Here’s the video of that interview:

A lot of natural gas is used as feedstock for plastic industry...

Companies are capitalizing on the U.S. shale advantage. ACC is tracking more than $130 billion dollars of new investment in chemical manufacturing capacity that has been announced (since 2010) to be put in place over the next decade. Based on ACC’s analysis:

o Nearly $25 billion of investments in new plastic resin capacity is expected.

o Investments of $2.5 billion will be made to increase capacity in plastics compounding, additives and colorants, which are used to impart specific properties to resins so they can be used to make plastic products.

o New plastic products capacity will be built to consume plastic resin that is not exported. These investments will total $19.6 billion.

o The combined output from the new investments in resin, compounding and ancillary chemistries (additives, colorants, etc.) and products will be $46.8 billion.

.......As long as natural gas is so cheap, coal mining will not make a comeback......

Natural gas is a cheap heat source but coal is the source for many more products than gaseous combustibles. The two energy sources work hand in hand.
