Union leader says some stations continue to follow Obama 'catch and release' directives
Some border patrol stations have been slow to carry out President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement executive order and instead have continued former President Barack Obama’s “catch-and-release” policies, according to a union official.
Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council, told LifeZette that he raised concerns Thursday with U.S. Border Patrol Chief Ronald Vitiello. He said he is confident that issue soon will be corrected.
But Judd said as recently as Thursday, some border patrol stations were still releasing border-jumpers, often without even issuing notices to appear in immigration court hearings. Obama’s policy was to release anyone claiming to have been living continuously in the United States since before Jan. 1, 2014, if they did not have criminal records or active warrants.

Whether they're doing this for cash or anti-Americanism, chances are very high they are also not enforcing drug and other laws.
Jeff Sessions should send in federal task forces to all those delinquent BP stations to conduct full and wide open criminal investigations.

Catch and release was about the stupidest ruling I’ve ever heard. Those days are over. Fire them. I’ll bet there are plenty of guys willing to do the job. Especially under Trump.
Fire them immediately.
Start with the supervisors and fire anyone, who is not willing to carry out the law of the land.
Then, take it down to the field level and do the same.
If they, volunteer to quit. Give them a month’s salary for each year they have served plus any vacation time not use.
The article blames management in those sectors, who are most likely afraid to change their procedures without specific guidance. Just the kind of CYA moves one can expect in government “management.” There is a reason you rarely hear rank and file in the federal government refer to their superiors as leadership.
The only way catch and release makes sense, is if after they are caught, they are released to their native country.

I imagine they are a minority who knew they were protected under Obama and got a kick out of flaunting his crap to those who wanted to do their jobs - the screw has turned for the open borders crowd that is supposed to be protecting us instead of aiding and abetting the illegal invaders......
