add to this trump has a well known penchant for veterans... it was on full display in his 2016 campaign.
the MSM will have difficulty turning down covering a full blown DC fundraising dinner for the veterans, possibly even with entertainment, while covering themselves featuring non other than the MSM, honoring... the MSM.
what trump needs to do is to suck all the oxygen out of the MSM that evening.
All I am remarking is that a veterans benefit dinner in the same city at the same time featuring the POTUS, and maybe the VPOTUS and even the FLOTUS, is one way to do it.

Maybe Piers had some inside info? I think he’s right that they would all pull out of attending if Trump accepted. Further, I think they would pose it thusly: “Well, he blocked CNN from that press gaggle which we all know is the hallmark of censorship. We just wouldn’t feel right attending the dinner while Trump is silencing CNN and anyone else who dares to challenge his lies..........”
Oh I know that not inviting someone to a press gaggle has nothing to do with censorship - it’s just what they would say...

I still remember Karl Rove making me sick by doing some stupid hip hop routine at this dinner. The Bushies played right into the hateful media’s hands. Go Trump.
He should go. He’d be a hit.
He shouldn’t. Reagan was disliked, W was strongly disliked but it was cordial enough that the event could still occur. But they have such a visceral bloodlust for Trump that there is no way this event could’ve occurred.
The media is not covering Trump. They are actively trying to destroy him and his family.
