Turning back the abuse of power which happened on Bush and Obama's watches should be on Trump's list of priorities.

According to the article, it seems that such abuses are going to intensify.

Like everyone else, I complied. What was my choice? I guess I could have turned back at the point, decline to take the flight I had paid for, but it would be unclear what would then happen.

It's real clear what will happen next if "everyone else" complies. Which they don't.

If it stops criminals from flying or even captures one then it is worth it.

Was a retinal scan biometric done when the passport was issued, or are they systematically adding a biometric to existing passports?

This need not be difficult. The airlines should be allowed to implement whatever form of security they deem necessary and appropriate. Including making people strip buck naked for inspection. Potential passengers can decide the level of risk-to-humilation ratio they are willing to pay for.

Enough of the Habuki theatre provided by the US government.

*All is going according to Deep State NWO plan.
Gov’t uses unlimited resources to create and update detailed citizen dossiers on us using everything available from data brokers.
See thedatamap.org

Your IRIS / DNA / facial feature and fingerprints are the final pieces of data that assure you can be fully tracked, but also accused and punished of a crime without the ability to question a witness in your defense.
In our dystopic future, an oppressive gov’t regime will eliminate belligerents via false accusation of crime, guilt claim based solely on falsified biometric / virtual id authentication evidence, ie: physical (false DNA lab positive match) or virtual (IP / cell# claimed to be found on an audit log file).

If you want your freedumbs, you can keep your freedumbs.

What airport and what air line? This yob never says. Retinal scans are not eight seconds. This guy made up a story. Because there is no data bank with information in it there is nothing to compare to.

Not sure how I feel about this, even for an international flight. What court ruling was it that decided that highly suspect foreign nationals have 4th amendment rights simply by merit of being within US borders -- I think the case was specifically about Border Patrol agents searching vehicles at border checkpoints. If so, how can people be compelled to get a retina scan, even for an international flight? I suppose you have the right to refuse and simply not take the flight, but would a person backing out of the line be taken as probable cause for *some* wrongdoing? Hasn't that sort of thing happened before with TSA checks? And in the context of that court ruling, they didn't decide that people who don't want their vehicle searchwd can just not enter into the US and thus avoid BP checkpoints, they ruled that rhe 4th applied. Multiple questions to be answered.

At the same time, how many people on this thread who are saying they'll never fly again because of this have casually submitted to numerous NICS checks? I'm guessing all of them.

One last thing -- the article describes the Marshals as "heavily and and dressed in dystopian-style black uniforms." I've just about had it with such inanity. Even on FR, I almost constantly see these images with a modern SWAT team juxtaposed against Adam-12 or Barney Fife with the caption "when did this become that?" I don't know, maybe with the emergence of international terrorism, mass transit, and rampant gang activity? Effective small arms and body armor and comfortable uniforms does not a police state make. When you yourself are willing to face down terrorists and MS13 members while wearing a shirt and tie and brandishing a compact revolver, let me know.

I’d like to see this implemented in every welfare office to stop people collecting benefits under multiple IDs. The usual suspects would scream, though.

Meanwhile, the border is wide open to illegals, and the gov’t actively imports hordes of jihadis.

This is not for safety.

I’m flying tomorrow and again next week. I do it because I have to, otherwise, I’d drive..
