US President Donald Trump's senior adviser Kellyanne Conway has come under fire after a picture of her casually kneeling on a couch in the Oval Office was widely shared on social media. In an image captured by an AFP photographer, Conway appears on the couch with her shoes on as Trump poses for a photo with leaders of historically black colleges and universities. Wall Street Journal columnist Bret Stephens was among those taking aim at Conway, suggesting that aides under previous administrations would have elicited even greater outcry.

Hannity said she was trying to get a good angle to take pictures. The media would pick up anything to avoid reporting that Trump was meeting with black leaders.

Forget the past disgraces. Trump has nothing in common with disgraceful behavior toward our country, but actually reveres the country, the people, the White House and the Oval Office. (He even said after the Inauguration that he may like to sleep a night in the Lincoln Bed, marveling at the history.)

He carries a reverence for the history, and an affinity for nearly military precision in his own respectful behavior.

Kellyanne needs to snap out of it. Who of us would dare to hike our skirt above our parted knees to squat among men in such a posture, in the OVAL OFFICE, to take a damn photo. Kellyanne w,as not raised in a commune, I don’t believe.

Before this unfortunate behavior was ever photographed, I was already complaining that she was starting to stand out in photos with Trump and his family and aides, all of whom were immaculately groomed and meticulously dressed, looking like Hillary,Jr., no make up, stringy hair, a farm dress and those huge sunglasses propped on her head.

I don’t get it. Her mis-ques are simply a detraction from her magnificent performance of the campaign, so what is the point?

I would have agreed with you at one point, but Trump's candidacy basically put forth the proposition that the system is broke enough that there is going to be some coarseness, vulgarity and bare-knuckle fighting to keep from losing the whole thing.

I didn't buy into at the time, because I did not yet trust Trump to use the position to push the correct agenda. He's doing his part. To some degree the opposition (including Establishment Republicans like McCain and Rubio and Ryan) are ratcheting this up. The Trump approach isn't a necessary counter. Scott Walker met a small scale version in Wisconsin. But Trump is not Walker, and Walker's opposition was national, not international, and rarely included his own party. Trump won the election, and we have to use the tools he brings.

Once again Kellyanne blunders into detracting from the watershed moment for Trump seen seeking to build bridges and to offer proof, with photos, of his seeking quality education among black Americans.

The photos are trending of all Kellyanne and very little Trump and black college presidents.

I can guarantee you Trump will not be that happy about the distraction and lack of taste becoming a lady in such company.

It delivers a perfect moment for Trump to ask her to snap out of it, to do something with her hair and make up and drop the shades she always props on her head. I have been wondering about her Hillary Jr. grooming and dressing habits before this, however.

I agree with you on the Trump brand of more common coarseness, some vulgarity for sure, on occasion, and the bare knuckles approaches.

However, he has made it clear what he reverences, and historical sites seem to reflect that reverence, as seen in his own behavior, of which the Oval Office is one.
