About 2,000 people were killed and entire neighbourhoods razed in southeastern Turkey in 18 months of government security operations characterised by massive destruction and serious human rights violations, the United Nations said on Friday.

The U.N. human rights office said in a report on the period July 2015-December 2016 that up to 500,000 people, mostly Kurds, had been displaced, while satellite imagery showed the "enormous scale of destruction of the housing stock by heavy weaponry".

U.N. investigators documented human rights violations including killings, disappearances and torture, often during curfews lasting several days at a time.

It is excerpted, there is a lot more information worth reading at the source.

If Islamist Erdogan wins the upcoming Referendum this will be a disaster for Turkey, NATO, and the Middle East.

It speaks of displaced people, I was told that day before yesterday Turkey refused to let a US based non-government organization deliver a load of flour through the Turkish border to Northern Syria. The flour was donated to help feed the displaced people. 60-70,000 in the Rojava area. They have been allowing this to pass through, but now, just as the fighting in Raqqa is about to begin, they throw another problem in front of those trying to eliminate ISIS. A Swiss company has furnished the bakery. I was told the area required 30,000 loaves per day. There are some more smaller bakeries involved.

As they should know human life is worth a whole lot less in. most of world compare to the western civilizations.

If one wants this stuff to stop they have to be conquered and converted to Christianity.

Other wise the convert back to savages.

Conversion by conquest does not work. That is Islam’s approach.

Exposure is difficult, in Muslim countries it is illegal to criticize the government. Exactly why there is a compact between the ComDems and the Islamists.

Totalitarianism in all forms is evil. Progressive Socialist Marxist Fascist Communist Dictator Islamist Bureaucrap. ALL Evil!

Here is the link to the actual UN Document.

http://www.ohchr.org/Documents/Countries/TR/OHCHR_South-East_TurkeyReport_10March2017.pdf

Have been trying to figure out how to best post it here.

I have used pdf2txt before. But am having trouble making the a python version work on this machine.

It is difficult to convert .pdfs to readable text. They are loaded with format and printer control characters. It is intended to be impossible to do. It’s not.

no official Northwest Kurdistan

Not yet, but there ought to be -- an independent Kurdistan from the Kurdish regions of Iraq, Syria, and Turkey, with a port on the Mediterranean to handle oil exports.
