For Conservatives, protest means peaceful demonstrations. For Progressives, aka Demoncrats, protest means rioting and destruction.
A brilliant man that Trump could use somewhere. ESPECIALLY IN THE FIELD of Education. This is the type individual the left cannot stand against face to face. God Bless Mr. Sowell.
Mark Steyn was talking about this riot today. Shocking.
In a just world, the DoJ civil rights division would be making arrests on campus.
I thought Dr. Sowell retired as a columnist. It’s nice to see him writing occasionally.
I know that Sowell does NOT agree with the findings, in Murray’s iconic book “The Bell Curve,” but he still supports Murray’s right to free speech.
That is how mature, professionals do life.
OTOH “Community Organizers,” shut down dissent, with “any means necessary,” including violence.
I have read many of Sowell’s books and rarely missed a column. I’m happy as a clam to see his retirement is selective when he finds a subject worthy of comment.

Where are the arrests for assault?
Amen, I'm very happy to see him wroting once in a while.
The perpetrators surely deserved arrest, conviction and jail time.
And it is not the old days any more. Professors are now among "the top few". And with tenure, for life!
Sowell is still writing?! Hurray! I thought he retired.
Bump!
He wrote a two-parter about 6 weeks ago and now this one.

I’d guess that it’s not too late.
Exactly: liberty means tolerating - not endorsing - ideas with which one does not agree.
IIRC he stated in his “retirement” column he was not renewing the contracts to produce X amount of articles per month/year anymore, and then went on about his hobby/interest in photography. That made me hope we would read articles of interest at his leisure, without the stress of contractual publication.
It’s difficult to buy his total retirement from something he does so well, and obviously enjoys. I hope he continues to keep active for years to come. Dr. Sowell is 86 now.
