After Years of GOP Repeal Bills Under Obama, Now ‘They Back Down’
Breitbart ^ | 03/14/17 | DAN RIEHL

Posted on 03/14/2017 3:14:55 PM PDT by Enlightened1

Noah Wall, the national director of campaigns for FreedomWorks, joined Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Tuesday to discuss the FreedomWorks Day of Action rally scheduled for Wednesday in opposition to the Republican Obamacare replacement plan. Concerning a full repeal of Obamacare, Wall said, “We’ve been promised this in 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2016, and these were not lighthearted promises. These were very powerful promises from members of Congress and the U.S. Senate across the political spectrum of Republicans.”

“Lo and behold,” added Wall, “the voters give Republicans Congress, they give them the Senate, and they give them the White House, and all of a sudden, the establishment comes up with a whole lot of reasons why we can’t do what we’ve been promising the American people.”

Expressing disappointment at years of promises from Republicans to repeal and replace Obamacare only to now produce a bill that falls short of that, Wall said, “I’m deeply disappointed. Republicans in 2015 voted to pretty much fully repeal Obamacare. And I don’t understand why they couldn’t.”

Citing years of Obamacare GOP repeal votes, Wall continued, “They voted for this [repeal] when they knew it had no chance of actually getting signed into law. All of a sudden, we get a chance to get this signed into law, and they back down.”

Concluded Wall, “It’s, unfortunately, very typical of Republican leadership, but we need to hold them to a higher standard.”

More information on the FreedomWorks Day of Action is available here.

Breitbart News Daily airs on SiriusXM Patriot 125 weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Eastern.

Ummm. No.

While it’s right and proper to pick on gutless Repubs, the fight currently ongoing is not to repeal ObamaCare.

As much as we would love that - it is not President Trump’s purpose here.

It’s to replace it. That’s a totally different ballgame, and one that Republicans cannot win.

Republicans have the White House, the Senate, and the House. All the ingredients necessary to REPEAL Obamacare are in place. Perhaps they don’t WANT to repeal, just pay lip service to get votes. Now they are saying how this is a “long term” strategy — a 3-part 5D Chess move to polish the turd first. Makes sense. NOT!

I am still amazed at how many people here at Free Republic are still drinking the Hopium with regards to Obamacare. GET OVER IT, Obamacare will never be Repealed or repaired. Not Gonna Happen, put the Hopium Down.

There is ONLY ONE WAY to make it happen:

Executive Orders

1. All waivers to the Affordable Care act are hereby repealed.

2. There shall be NO funds drawn from the treasury to pay for Health Insurance for ANY Federal Employee except Members of the Armed Services.

3. ALL Federal Employees except members of the US Armed Services, SHALL purchase their own personal and Family Health Insurance from the Affordable Care Exchange in the state they legally reside.

And to make sure it is Bipartisan, President Trump should VETO it every Time and FORCE them to Override his Veto to Repeal this Monstrosity.

Sign these 3 orders and it will be FULLY REPEALED in Less than 30 days.

NOT UNTIL, Anyone want to make a BET???

I would also consider another Executive Order Withholding All Transportation Funds from All States that do Not have Their Public Employees enrolled in Obamacare, just to Prove a Point.

When and ONLY WHEN Government Lives under the Same Laws as us will anything substantial happen

I AM TAKING BETS that the Rino Party Will NEVER REPEAL OBAMACARE!

News flash: Republicans ALREADY won! Control the White House, the Senate, the House, the Governorship, and every level of State and Local gubmints. What more do you think is “needed” to “win”?

To victors go the spoils — REPEAL Obamacare and “replace” with NOTHING. You flush the crap down the toilet, you don’t “replace” with fresh new crap.

Send Trump the bill they sent to Obama that he kept rejecting.

Let’s see who plays chicken and who keeps their word.

Here is my fix. Take the entire amount paid in Obamacare insurance premiums and place it in MSA’s. Once the people enrolled in Obamacare discover their new good fortune, game over.

Surely no one took those attempts for anything but political theater.

They were like the dog that chased cars but had no idea what to do if he caught one.

I’ll put it this way: IF there is not a COMPLETE REPEAL, and we go back to something similar to what was before with tort reform and sales across state lines, I WON’T be voting for Trump next time around.

"Win"? Win what? Repealing ObamaCare would never make it out of the Senate. And even if it did, would Trump sign a repeal?

Nope.

He promised to REPLACE it. And that is his active agenda. His "wonderful new healthcare bill" is what's at issue. Not a repeal.

Yep, whatever the plan the non-negotiable ironclad part needs to be EVERYBODY lives by it, in it and through it, including Congress, special interest groups, etc. I wonder if the Democrats would accept even Obama care if this were put up as an addendum to it. That would be an interesting proposal to see how they responded.

Just out of curiosity, when Obamacare is repealed where do all those people who won’t have health insurance go? What happens to those people if the get sick?

Everyone is gung ho to repeal but not looking at the interim. I’m not advocating Ryan’s plan as I think it sucks, but why not offer up tort reform, buying insurance across state lines, and let the free market do its thing with Obamacare as an option?

You reconcile that, then you sunset Obamacare as everyone will more than likely choose cheaper plans with better coverage. Plus, now you have something to measure Obamacare against.

“Just out of curiosity, when Obamacare is repealed where do all those people who won’t have health insurance go? What happens to those people if the get sick?”

How did they survive BEFORE the obamacare freebies? Everybody gets sick. You don’t force the tax payers to pay for your expenses. You pay for your own expenses. How about that?

Ask these people if they have expensive iphones or macbooks or tablets and unlimited data plans and 60” LED TVs and blings and cars and houses and starbucks and energy drinks and restaurants. Why not be responsible and cut back on those and buy basic necessities before FORCING the tax payers to cough up at gun point(taxes are collected at gunpoint).

It was so easy because they knew it would go no where with Obama in the Presidency. They fear the press so much that they are afraid if 3 people lose healthcare coverage they will own it, regardless that the majority might actually have less expensive coverage costs.
