Remember the date of March 13, 2017. It was the day President Trump was guaranteed his re-election and Republican congressional gains in 2018 and 2020.

It's not complicated. Follow along.

The Congressional Budget Office released its study of Trump and Paul Ryan's plan to repeal Obamacare and begin to reform our healthcare system. It had many numbers. Only two mattered: taxes and spending.

We shall see.

I don’t claim to know what’s going to happen in 2018 or 2020, but I do know the Dims are gonna have a tough time. Being so anti-Trump, they’ve set themselves up as the “America Second” party. Tell me any clear-thinking American who doesn’t want Americans put first? The optics don’t lie. They are and will be branded as the party that want illegal immigration, more taxes and spending, kowtowing to terrorists, and free speech quelled.

Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Yeah, I’m not 100% sure that the 220 counties that had voted for Obama and flipped to Trump were really focused on lower capital gains taxes for married couples filing jointly earning over $250k.

Grover loves him some tax cut though. I’m not saying I’m opposed to them, just that it may not be the big electoral winner he imagines.

I would be more interested in abolishing capital gains tax and all taxes on dividends and interest.

I wish people who excerpt would take the time to excerpt the actual point of the article, not just the first paragraph or two.

“Tell me any clear-thinking American who doesn’t want Americans put first?”

This is why when you are speaking with a Dim, call them a #FAKEAMERICAN.

I drives them nuts! They do not know how to respond. They cant respond, exactly because of your statement (posed as a question) above.

Take that up with Free Republic's excerpt rules.

Any particular reason why you don't like clicking on the link?

Nothing in the rule says you can’t excerpt from parts of the article other than the first two paragraphs. I do it all the time.

I prefer not to click on links sometimes because I don’t always want to give hits to the particular website. Other times it’s because I’d like to read a summary before I decide to click on the link.

This ain't Reader's Digest. I give you the first couple of paragraphs, and you can click on the link to read the rest. If you don't like it done that way, too bad.

I HATE it when people "edit" the original article, thinking they're some erudite editor who can discern the writer's original intent. That's insulting to the original author, most of whom have spent considerable time crafting their work, and it's annoying to readers on this forum. I almost ALWAYS click on the link for that reason - to make sure what I'm reading is the original work, not some idiot's cut & paste job.

Sorry, but if you don't like it, don't bitch about how others excerpt. Not all people do it just the way you do.

In 1993 Clinton tried to launch a healthcare plan. The Democrats got creamed in 1994 and the GOP took the House and Senate. In 2009 Obama did launch a healthcare plan. The Democrats got creamed in 2010 and the GOP took the House and Senate. Now Trump is launching his own healthcare plan and the Republicans are expecting different results. Really?
