I was researching about making a trip to the Balkans, and came upon this snowflake gem, about the drama at a Mostar hostel.
This guy is the father of all snowflakes and where is he from, Austin, TX.
Hey, I was in Mostar a few years ago. Stayed in a place that cost $20 bucks a night. It was right on the river next to the Old Bridge. It was closer to and had a better view than most of the pictures you see of the bridge! Most amazing cheap room deal I have ever encountered!
That whole section of Europe (Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia) has very old fashioned beliefs. Lots of racial and religious prejudice and strict sexual mores. I wouldn’t want to live there, but it was (for me, a heterosexual male traveling with the significant other) a great, and inexpensive, place to visit!
If you want to visit a really amazing, and extremely civilized, country, try Slovenia! That’s a country I could live in!
Sounds like this person who is definitely not homophobic is extremely xenophobic by saying the Bosnian culture isn’t “open” enough. Maybe he should visit Saudi Arabia to get a more balanced view.
But wait!....how can this be?!?! I thought only’Murica was the most racist/sexist/homophobic place on EARTH!!!!!

The only real homophobes are those afraid of saying something about their wretched behavior, which describes what a liberal is. Liberals would be afraid of saying something to pedophiles too.
There was this dum liberal college chick here in Florida, it was right after the gay club shooting, and she was hanging out with her muslim Bosnian friends thinking she was all so “multicultural”, and then the topic went on to the Orlando shooting and the two dudes straight up said laughing “gays, we just do not like them”. She did not dare say a thing except to say “well, I have gay friends...” and they kept on laughing.
She ended up staying with them drinking.
Although femnine women usually embrace contradiction without problems and all of them have gay friends helping them pick their boyfriend, it shows how quickly they can be racetracked too by “doing something with gay killers” and yet claiming they have gay friends all the same...

Years ago I was studying with an American lib in London. She was the most xenophobic person - everyone from the fruit seller who was annoyed she pinched fruit to the teacher who made jokes she considered “racist, sexist and homophobic.” No, I pointed out to her, it just wasn’t American culture - it was a different culture. Libs are very dim.
It’s ironic that being a tolerant lib means being judgmental of everyone who isn’t like you. And that moral relativism is their staple while claiming moral superiority.

Libs often don’t travel much because they don’t work and so don’t have the money. Then when they do, they find out that not everybody thinks and acts like a Berkeley undergrad.
This isn’t true of the homosexual male, though. They love to travel and have all kinds of $$$$.

I think so. That place is more like Western Europe than Eastern Europe.
