Conservative Koch brothers spending millions to stop GOP health care bill

The conservative Koch network is promising to spend millions of dollars to defeat the health care overhaul backed by President Donald Trump and top House Republicans.

The network’s leading organizations, Americans for Prosperity and Freedom Partners, announced late Wednesday the creation of a special fund to support House members who vote against the health care bill.

The announcement, which comes on the eve of the House vote, marks the influential conservative network’s most aggressive move against the health care proposal, which is under attack from the right and the left.

“The bill as it stands today is ObamaCare 2.0,” said James Davis, executive vice president of Freedom Partners, in a statement announcing the new fund. He added, “We will stand with lawmakers who keep their promise and oppose this legislation — and work toward a solution that reduces costs and provides Americans with the relief they need and deserve.”

The organizations backed by billionaire industrialists Charles and David Koch declared their formal opposition to the GOP health care proposal Monday.

Wonder how they feel about the coverage of illegals in the bill? Seems like they’d like that.

I figure TRUMP is playing Ryan. It’s been all grins and rah rah, for the RINO contingency in leadership positions, while he lets them hang themselves.

TRUMP has consistently, from the beginning and at least three times a week, said Repeal and Replace, with lower premiums and a wonderful plan with no bossy government mandates.

The Freedom Caucus has to know he is “with them”, so they are able to hold together nicely.

Now we have a delay. Ryan will deal now, or lose big time and loudly, resoundingly, gloriously.

Winning! TRUMPED, is Ryan.

So Trump has been lying all along about wanting this bill passed? Wow he must have graduated to the 10th dimensional chessboard.

Hate to break the news to you but Trump insisted on keeping health insurance companies from denying prexisitng conditions. That is as heavy handed a government mandate as can be imposed on an insurance company. Akin to insuring the barn after it is on fire. Ditto for keeping kids on the plan until 26. Trump and O in 100% agreement on two very heavy handed mandates.

Yes, you are correct. Insurance is in too many respects now a subsidy, made into an entitlement, made into a mandate made into a downward spiral. You are absolutely right. Even with Trump.

There is no faith that Americans can understand risk and reward. All risk is baby powdered out of our understanding of profit and loss. Dead as a door nail.

I was, respectfully, thinking of the young adults forced to buy the damn stuff to such an extent that guys had to pay for female targeted interests. Ugh.

Not exactly, pardner.

Trump knew the Freedom Caucus would follow his words since the beginning on this subject of Repeal and Replace because they are of the same mind. No harm no foul, and not a word had to be spoken.

He let Ryan hang himself with the Freedom Caucus. Trump has been out there saying what will happen, what will pass and what it will say when he signs it.

Who couldn’t read the tea leaves. They have been out there drawn in pictures with crayon at every whistle stop where Trump has been speaking. Ryan just wasn’t listening.

Now the delay. Trump played him, not me. He lets the Caucus take the credit. It’s cool chess, if you ask me.

No lies in sight, not from Trump.

What? Trump wants to sign the current bill. He is at odds with the Freedom caucus.

Not buying in. Are you?

Only one entity lines up with Trump. It “ain’t” Paul Ryan and his “Better Way” masterpiece.

Trump is all in with Ryan. This is Trump’s healthcare bill. Even Ryan could not have screw it up this bad by himself.
