GOP Obamacare Repeal Vote Delayed – Thanks Paul Ryan!

The GOP has had 7 years to work on the repeal of Obamacare and now that they have full control, they still can’t seem to get anything done. We want Obamacare repealed now!

NBC reports:

The House of Representatives delayed its vote on repealing and replacing parts of the Affordable Care Act after Republican leaders failed to rally enough support to pass the bill, sources told CNBC.

The GOP House caucus will meet at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday to discuss its path forward, NBC News reported. A vote on the legislation is still possible on Friday, NBC said.

The postponement is a sobering setback for Republicans, who aimed to pass health-care legislation before moving to other parts of their agenda, particularly tax reform. The GOP had timed Thursday’s now-aborted vote to the seventh anniversary of the passage of the ACA, popularly known as Obamacare.

The White House gave the House Freedom Caucus a final offer Thursday in its effort to win enough votes for the legislation. As of Thursday afternoon, Freedom Caucus chairman Rep. Mark Meadows told reporters “there are not enough votes” to push the legislation through.

Less than three hours earlier, the White House said it still expected the vote to happen Thursday.

Paul Ryan is purposely trying to destroy the GOP. He must resign from his position as House Speaker.

They really need to lose the habit of “passing something”.
We want it done right, not necessarily right NOW.
And with Ryan in charge of it, it ain’t gonna be right.

Ryan can always go back to his only non-government job - driving the wiener mobile.

Doing it right means repealing the bill. Period. No replacement.

Freedom Caucus is saving us from Ryan who wouldn’t be there if the Freedom Caucus didn’t support him in the first place

Personally, I think President Trump has engineered this situation so that Ryan’s fingerprints are all over it and when it fails, he’ll be the one with egg on his face. President Trump will then be able to get Ryan to bring up the legislation he wants and not the lobbyist authored crap Ryan has been offering.

P.Trump: What’s wrong with the bill, Paul?

Paul Ryan: Not enough votes...

P.Trump: Don’t have it to pass, well that’s okay, let it drop, now we are going to do it my way...

Paul Ryan: I’m sure I can get it done...

P.Trump: Nope you’ve done enough, now I’ll take over and get it right for the American People...

During those seven years, no fewer than four repeal bills were passed and sent to Obama, if we are to believe what has been reported in the media.

Why wasn’t one of those bills dusted off and resent to President Trump?

Could it be that the Republicans never really meant to repeal Obamacare?

Trump is totally on board with passage of this. He spent all day trying to twist the arms of the Freedom Caucus

RomneyCARE/ObamaCARE was invented by the GOP
and soon will be TrumpCARE if the President
keeps listening to the RINOs.

Ryan should be replaced for many reasons, but his total failure in this instance to draft a bill that reflected Trump’s campaign promises, and the will of those who voted for him, demonstrates a total lack of character.

Ryan has the face of a rat and this sequence of events shows that he has the instincts of a rat as well.

Ryan is so enthusiastic about handing the health insurance system back to Big Pharm and the Insurance Companies, that it must be a fact that these lobbies have promised Ryan millions of dollars.

I have never seen a Speaker of the House like Ryan running so fast that he is a blur, right into an old defunct failed system, into the old system of accelerating health care costs which the insurance companies greedily brought about.

Ryan is ignoring the people of America. The Freedom Caucus is not.

Hold Trump to his promises NOW, immediately. There is no need to customize the bill solely for reconciliation process. Ted Cruz has found a way to make it work without reconciliation in the Senate, simple majority wins.

Ted Cruz’s way is not to use the reconciliation process.

The Senate can go to full repeal without 60.

Ted Cruz may have discovered a way to totally change Obamacare without 60 Senate votes
American Thinker ^ | Mar. 12, 2017 | Thomas Lifson

Democrats tend to love sneaky lawyer tricks because their side is so good at them. The passage of Obamacare under the Senate rules governing “reconciliation” is the most prominent example of creatively applying the rules to get what they want.

But it turns out that there are some really smart and creative legal minds on the GOP side, and now that the GOP runs the Senate, the sauce for the Democrat goose also flavors the Republican gander, if that isn’t too disagreeable an abuse of metaphorical license. Ted Cruz is one such legal mind; in the words of legendary Harvard Law School Professor Alan Dershowitz, “…one of the best students I ever had.”

***************************************************

Lets get on with it for the People. Ryan needs to stop his effing foolishness. NOW! maybe Ryan wants to ruin Trump and the new Republican non-elitist party, her sure acts like it.

There is no republican leadership. This just shows what a weak sister Paul Ryan is, I’m not sure Mitch McConnell is any better, he still doesn’t have President Trumps cabinet completed. Did he ever get the number 2 guy for the DOJ approved?

Absolute minimum! These Two provisions MUST be included in any new health insurance legislation as an absolute minimum:

1. Eliminate the Essential Health Benefits provision of Obamacare that requires a minimum of services in insurance policies, and

2. Fully eliminate the Individual Mandate that RyanCare preserves as a program managed by the insurance companies instead of by the IRS.
