An Illinois mom behind a viral Facebook post spoke to Fox 2/News 11 Wednesday.
Her son, Hunter, 4, has been suspended from his preschool for bringing a shell casing from a fired bullet to school.
He'd been at the preschool for about a year, she said, and now was in tears.
Neither she nor Hunter's dad knew it, but he found something he thought was pretty neat and he took it to school Tuesday to show his friends.

Well....when I was escorted to the office for a sit down. I was handed a tiny .22 empty brass casing. Not a "shotgun bullet". He found it on the ground, expelled from a 22 Rifle over the weekend, while Hunter was target practicing with his Police Officer Grandpa. He was so excited, and snuck it to school to show his friends. We had no idea about it.
I was handed a piece of paper. No words, just eyebrows raised in disgust at my son, explaining that his behavior warranted a 7 school day suspension. Which I still was expected to pay tuition for, of course. And a threat that if his enthusiasm for guns continued, he'd be permanently expelled.

Just saw an episode of Leave It to Beaver. It was the end of the school year and they were cleaning out their lockers. Someone threw a gun in the trash (I assume toy). Nothing was said, no mention at all. Today it would probably result in a felony record and suspension or expulsion.

This is as ridiculous as the child who had their healthy lunch taken away at school. I am truly fed up with the mindset that the ‘teachers’ know better when it comes to bringing up our children. Are the doctors still asking children ‘are there guns in your home’?....one of the tenets of Obamacare and a monumental invasion of privacy. Well, this child’s school now knows there are guns in his home. Hope the Governement lets those parents keep that precocious little guy!
Mom should have him take an abortion tool when (if) he goes back.

Such a teachable moment and the school turns it into a chaotic teacher-parent-child confrontation. I’d try to sue them....for lying about the danger of what this child did.
There’s an episode of Adam 12 where a boy brought a gun to the school. Reid and Malloy got the call. The boy took the gun from his dad’s closet. His parents were having a fight and the boy was scared it would escalate.
The father arrived on the scene and admitted the fight but that it did not escalate. He also realized he had some family repair to do. The officers handed him back his gun and the father and son walked away.
Talk about escalation. The school “administrators” suffer a near fatal case of the vapors because of a spent piece of brass.
Grow up.

A far cry from when it was pretty common to see rifles in racks in pick up trucks when I went to high school. Nobody even blinked then. And this was in the middle of Albuquerque. Not quite as liberal as the town is now.(understatement!) It was so NOT liberal back then that when jessuh jackshun came to town, the cops told him “Not here. You’re not causing any trouble here.” So away he went. Not racist, just no riots.

we, the collective we, have allowed the liberals to infiltrate our school systems and put stupid rules such as this in place. They’re just following the rules parents allowed them to institute.
