But Jon, I’m a medical doctor, not a tree surgeon or hugger!

Good post. However, never let proven science interfere with a doctor’s paycheck and voodoo environmental beliefs.

Next the ACP will be billing for treating carbon dioxide exchange stress (i.e. exhaling CO2 from the lungs).

I am sure the doctors took biology and chemistry in their premed classes and should be laughing hysterically at the CO2 nonsense. Some might wish they could stick a tranquilizer needle in the rears of these CO2 boogymen just to calm them down.

Doctors know about measurements.

Ask the Global Warmer Chicken Littles a few questions. First, in Parts-Per-Million (ppm) what is the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere? How fast is it increasing yearly in parts-per-million? What percentage of CO2 in the atmosphere is man made? A true believer of the CO2 boogyman syndrome should be able to answer these simple questions don’t you think?

CO2 levels in the atmosphere are 400ppm. Yearly increase taken on the high side is 2ppm. Human caused CO2 is 3-4 percent of all the CO2.

4% of 2 parts per million equals .08ppm. Think about that for a while. Man is causing global CO2 levels to rise at a yearly rate of .08 parts per million. Eight 100th’s of 1 part-per-million per year!!!

With that perspective, you can use it to calm that patient who is having an anxiety attack about CO2 poisoning and the ocean swallowing his hospital room in a high tide. It beats having to treat them with a calming shot.
