There are C-17 aircraft that tag along with AF-1 — they carry ground transport “presidential limos”, etc.
To: JBW1949
Nope. In that case it would go by its tail #. Air Force One is a callsign, not a vehicle designation. You put President Trump in a piper cub, it becomes Air Force One.

Does the Globemaster look something like the MD-80 in scale? Yarddog saw some weird stuff Saturday and took pics, we thought it was an MD-80. The craft didn’t break mach but alarmed him at how fast it shot going just N of East.

Thank you Al Baby. I appreciate the distinction.
Would you consider my comment about the Cessna to be off base then? It would obviously not be Air Force equipment.
I still think they would refer to it as Air Force One, but perhaps you have an alternative explanation.

Secret Service teams and equipment on the globemasters usually. Those limos are APC’s that just look like Cadillacs.

The way things are in this day and age, IF I were Trump, I wouldn’t leave the ground unless there was a fighter escort armed to the teeth accompanying me.

So if it’s your plane it would be Al Force One.

Why do I get the feeling you are trying to correct me? If so, bug off!

If the President is not on board is the plane still referred to as AF1????
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Yesterday I read that the plane is referred to as AF1 only when the President is on board.
