Maybe this is what you saw? the MD-80 was bustin to help clear space?
That would have been maybe a thousand miles away.
Now that I think about it, that actually was an odd occurrence. This area does not get a lot of airliner traffic but at one time there were four sets of contrails all going in different directions.
If I had been a little quicker, I could have got a shot of 3 planes in one picture. That has to be a bit unusual because of them not wanting to be too close to each other. Just coincidence I guess.
