Comparing Lincoln to Hitler is stupid but a lot of people believe Lincoln was a tyrant who exceeded Conditional authority.

You know, I understand having conflicting views about Lincoln. However, how incredibly stupid for a politician to spew such noxious garbage to the public. Nothing positive can come out of it.

Lincoln was a power hungry brutal butcher that destroyed the original republic, but other that, I have no problem with the man.
Hitler had people taken off the street for: Race, religion, undesirable, homosexual... had them put in boxcars and sent to extermination camps. He wanted to kill every Jew in Germany. He implemented a plan that made a big dent toward that goal.
Lincoln at worst disagreed with people and tried to enforce his mistaken impression of what was right or wrong via war.
There is a massive difference.
The South disagreeing with Lincoln also waged war to prevail asserting their views.
Other than ruining or killing off an entire generation of good American Christians and splitting a nation over grievances that could have easily been settled diplomatically, yes he was a great man!
Well, to all of you Lincoln haters, what can I say? I guess it all depends on what criteria you use to judge him. I can only say I’m not familiar with some of the criteria being used here.
