Well CNN in this Youtube vid seems to be correct here, Trump said one thing on the campaign trail and now is doing another.
Yes, it is amazing that CNN is finally covering presidential vacation costs.
But two important distinctions, Trump is actually visiting his real home from his temporary White House residence. The 2nd is that if Trump were not president he could still do the same thing.
One point I would like CNN to answer is how much is Trump charging the GVT (e.g., Secret Service) to stay at Mar A Largo?

Something that was revealed during the last Presidency about the WH few seem to know much about. The POSTUS put off security renovations until he left the WH. It was thought to be Trump would not be able to stay in the WH during the first year of his Presidency. The trips to Mar A Largo are due to these security renovations. I figured President Trump was going to Mar A Lago because it was the only place he could conduct business without being spied upon. No bugs, no taps, no one casually listening.

To be so petty as to think that weekend golf, etc. even compares to the actual foreign and expensive domestic vacations Ubama and his brood took nearly every 2 months is laughable.

And yes I agree he works there, and I agree with him about the need to get out of that culture of corruption in DC.
But Trump’s campaign words do not match his actions. But as I have said for years as with Bush, there is a big difference between going to your home you own and living it up on the taxpayer dime.

Interesting that you say “his” supporters. By posting crap like this it is very obvious that you are not one of Trump’s supporters. Another distinction that you failed to mention, is that Trump is actually conducting business when he is at Mar a Lago.
He has hosted several foreign leaders including the Chinese president and the PM of Japan. Unlike the previous occupant of the White House, who did not have an actual residence to return to, Trump lives at Mar a Lago part of the time amd the Secret Service really has no choice but to protect it in spote of the costs.
Only CNN would consider going to one’s home a vacation. President Trump is just working from home.

I would ask: what is it with Democratic presidents who refuse to grow up and own homes that they visit when not in the WH? You know, the ones who vacation for several weeks at Hawaiian resorts, eat Kobe beef and sushi flown in from Japan or hang out for a month on Martha’s Vineyard like both the Obamas and Clintons?
