The evacuation of more than 3,000 Syrians that was scheduled to take place Sunday from four areas as part of a population transfer has been postponed, opposition activists said, a day after a deadly blast that killed more than 120 people, many of them government supporters.
Snip ..
Rami Abdurrahman said Saturday's blast --which hit an area where thousands of pro-government evacuees had been waiting for hours -- killed 126. He said the dead included 109 people from Foua and Kfarya, among them 80 children and 13 women.

Airstrikes by the U.S.-led coalition had killed dozens of civilians over the past several weeks as the battle against the extremists intensifies in Syria and Iraq.

Interesting that there’s no mention of the religious affiliations of the attackers or the victims.
“from four areas as part of a population transfer”
sounds so simple, just transfer populations around......all interchangeable, no problem.
They were Quakers...
Why do not the men stay and fight.
Ivanka will likely shed no tears over this -— if she even knows about it.
It's funner to get on the American welfare system.
Ah, yes. Of course. Wouldn’t want to stir up any anti-Quaker sentiment out there. That would be worse than 80 kids being blown up.
It’s okay, they were blown up.
As long as they didn’t breath in any poison gas, it’s cool.
How pathetic.
They sure are avoiding the "T" word here.
The blast could mean an errant artillery shell, perhaps a bomb dropped on the wrong coordinates, but no, this was a deliberate act against innocent people.
I wish they would tell it like it really is.
Just in case you need any help, the bad guys were the terrorists who killed 120 innocent people.
It wasn’t Ivanka.
It certainly seems so, it may have been a car bomb from an injured witiness' description:
A wounded girl, who said she lost her four siblings in the blast, told Al-Manar TV from her hospital bed that children who had been deprived of food for years in the two villages were approached by a man in the car who told them to come and eat potato chips. She said once many had gathered, there was an explosion that tore some of the children to pieces.
I hadn’t heard that. Thanks.
What a sick twisted mind someone would have to have to do something like that.
I don’t care whose kids these children are, they didn’t deserve this and it angers me.
I have been pretty successful for a couple of years, now.
This article is poorly written, it relates three incidents under one headline, it skips around, and ya have to weed out other attacks to consolidate the one explosion that killed 126, including the 80 children.
Thanks.
So there wasn’t one attack that killed 126? Am I understanding your comments accurately?
Yes, there was ONE explosion that killed 126.
There was also some artillery shelling that injured two Russian news reporters:
... shells fired by the Islamic State group (ISIS) on government-held parts of the eastern city of Deir el-Zour wounded two members of a Russian media delegation visiting the area, according to state-run Syrian news agency SANA.
Russia's Anna-News military news service, which employs the journalists, said one was wounded in the arm while the other suffered leg and stomach wounds. The news service said the two were evacuated adding that their condition was "satisfactory."
Also, a coalition airstrike killed 8 within a few hours of the 126, but at a separate but nearby location:
In eastern Syria, an airstrike by the U.S.-led coalition on the village of Sukkarieh near the border with Iraq killed eight civilians who had earlier fled violence in the northern province of Aleppo, according to Deir Ezzor 24, an activist collective, and Sound and Picture Organization, which documents IS violations.
All from the same article.
Okay. Thanks for the clarification.
When I get angry, I don’t let it cloud my mind overall.
I get angry that an event happened, but then I want to know who did it. I don’t just assume someone did it.
There are times when it’s very hard to know though.
I don’t sign on to anything just because I’m angry. It has to make sense.
I read that it may have been a bomb in a fake ambulance. I saw the video of the aftermath, extremely sad to see so many kids bodies scattered everywhere among a dozen or so destroyed vehicles, many burning with thick black smoke. Many busses with blown-out windows and bodies inside. The ones who did this have no humanity. People, including reporters, were gathering up survivor kids and running to arriving ambulances, or placing them in pickups to take them for medical care. Very sad to see the faces of injured kids, many that may yet die before care is given.
