As lawmakers consider a myriad of bills to curb the epidemic of inappropriate student-teacher relationships, the Texas Education Agency has opened over 150 investigations into the issue this school year, according to data obtained by mySA.com.
The agency has opened 159 cases so far in the 2016-17 school year, which began in August, said TEA spokeswoman DeEtta Culbertson in an email.

Granted some are false reports filed by mental students and crazed LEO but there's far too many sickos in charge of our children.
This isn’t new. I knew of three such relationships back during the 1960s. There have probably always been more than anyone would imagine, particularly female teachers and teen boys, and some teachers don’t restrict their ‘relationships” to one boy or one year.
Another way to look at this is how as the term “inappropriate relationship” definition changed over the years.
But I do see less professional teachers emerging from our full left system, it just cannot be helped. And with such left-tards running the class rooms, there’s bound to be more genuine inappropriate acts as compared to let’s say 40 years ago.
Which is probably what leads to them being reported...
Here’s my solution. If you are over the age of 14, it is illegal for YOU to have an inappropriate relationship with your teacher. If you are caught, we’ll send the both of you to (separate) jails.
This will wipe the smirks off the faces of those boys....
None of the three female teachers I knew about were ever found out by authorities. At least where I lived, such knowledge stayed in the teen boy network of participants and close friends. It just wasn't blabbed about.
In those days, few would have considered a teen boy an innocent victim, but someone old enough to make correct decisions. The boy would have received disapproval and possibly punishment from his parents.
My problem with this is that there must be some that are erroneous. And one of the problems with establishing so many they are looking into is that the fine line of who makes the call as to if it was or wasn’t, can make a difference in the life of an innocent person, like destroy it.
For me to say they all are true without investigation, is idiotic. But for me to say they aren’t is the same. Either way, there is no way with the history in these that it won’t go public. And being vindicated is not going to help the innocent person as just by being “investigated,” they have been damned by everyone that reads the story and automatically creates a mindset that will probably not go away. And this includes the school systems, their administrators, and parents of other students in the school.
They never should have released that the investigations were in progress. They’re probably going to harm someone that is innocent. And they took a chance with someone else’s life and not theirs. Just to sell a story. And no, the public doesn’t have a need to know on speculation. That old adage is manure.

Same here. It was widely believed (and most likely true) that the cute, young math teacher had a fling with the star basketball player. And one of the English teachers was a flaming homo who routinely massaged the boys’ shoulders and ran his hand through their hair in class. We laughed it off at the time, but he would be arrested today.
I had an extremely hot Spanish teacher in junior high school who would roll her R’s and boys would run off to the restroom. Rumor had it that she did one lucky boy a year.
The Bull Durham Effect.

According to the word of God, the age of accountability is 13. (what does God know....)
.
some parents are falling down on their responsibility to educate their child about conduct in school, with elders etc. Some teachers are falling down on their responsibility to students and school they work for.
Maybe we can create a whole new segment of work of teacher monitors, one per teacher, monitor them every minute in school, on school property, have to report their every interaction communication with a student or parent and it’s all under a microscope all the time. just joking, but clearly we need to hire teachers who do not prey on students in any way.
He knows when most boys are capable of becoming biological fathers, and that they are old enough to understand the consequences.
Of course, birth control pills changed many things concerning possible consequences.
Trust me, jail isn’t going to slow down a teenage boy in this situation. He’s not using the big head, I remember being that age.
Do you suppose maybe the sex education curricula could be TOO effective? Maybe fewer demonstrations?
Did they ever catch the TN teacher and girl that skipped town?
I haven’t heard anything about them recently.
There are more instances of sexual relations between teacher and student in high school than in college. How many are real is up for debate.
I had a student claim an incident in an effort to get a grade. I fought it and won. She, however, was not expelled nor received any bad marks for attempted blackmail. No policing agency would pursue it. With no consequence for their actions and teachers waaay too friendly with students, it is almost license for this to happen. The student is taken at their word and the teacher must defend.
That said, there are many real situations. Media and entertainment over sexualizes everything. Sex is part of the curriculum, God is gone from school, anything goes sexually is the lesson, so it is not surprising this occurs.
My 16-year-old naïve self likely missed an opportunity back in the early 70s. The teacher was not my teacher but a roommate of my English teacher/debate coach. This teacher was an elementary teacher but she certainly seemed infatuated with me when she went along with us on debate team outings. But I couldn’t catch a clue back then...
God said the age of accountability is 13? Really? What book of the Bible is that in?
The only good part about this coming out is now I don’t have to listen to women lecture me about how only men do things like this.
Not my quote.
