Outdoor-clothing maker Patagonia hit back at President Trump on Wednesday, threatening to sue over an executive order calling for the Department of the Interior to review national monuments designated during Bill Clinton's, George W. Bush's and Barack Obama's presidencies.

“A president does not have the authority to rescind a National Monument. An attempt to change the boundaries ignores the review process of cultural and historical characteristics and the public input,” Patagonia CEO Rose Marcario said in a statement.

““A president does not have the authority to rescind a National Monument.”

Good luck with the lawsuit, because that is not what he said or is doing.

Oh just file the case in the 9th circuit like everyone else. God knows we can’t let the people make their own decisions about the land in their state.

They make money from sales to hikers, campers, and outdoorsy people-——who love these National Monuments.

It’s all about money.

Haven’t you figured it out yet? They are going to sue or try to sue on each and every executive order Trump issues. Heck they may even use on something that had Obama done it they would have agreed with it. They just want to screw Trump over every single day

“Patagonia is a designer of outdoor clothing and gear for the silent sports: climbing, surfing, skiing and snowboarding, fly fishing, and trail running.”

SO... clothes that would be used at some of the National Monuments AND other land grabbed by the FEDS.

A president has no authority to do anything unless he’s a liberal.

Screw Patagonia and their liberal crap. The feds control too much land and make it off limits to anything useful to the people, or good for the land either. The feds have done an incredible job of mismanaging everything they touch and this is no exception

They, or any other lefty, should have no problem finding a political judge, if Judge Orrick is busy.

Congress needs to remove the power of the President to take land from the people of a state to do with it what they wish. I remember the first time I knew about this. Clinton declared the Escalante Monument in Utah. It happens to contain one of the world's very rare deposits of extremely clean coal, so pure its charcoal can be used in things like kidney dialysis. It was so rich in this that its mines could have supported much of Utah's education expenses. It was so unpopular in Utah that the weasel Clinton stood on a height in a different state to declare it.

Congress is for the elites, not the people.
