The top Republican in the Senate on Tuesday rejected President Donald Trump's suggestion that his party change the chamber's rules to undercut the ability of Democrats to block legislation with filibusters.

"There is an overwhelming majority on a bipartisan basis that is not interested in changing the way the Senate operates on the legislative calendar," Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told reporters.

Primary turtles’ ass.

I’ve just had to endure 6 years of Pelosi and Reid marching in lockstep with Obama and running a coup of the legislature to ramrod whatever Soros wanted that day.

Now turtle cares more about the dems then the GOP?

F him.

Schumer probably kissed McConnell on the lips after McConnell refused to consider changing Senate rules on the legislative filibuster. Fortunately, no one got a picture of that…..

Obviously, the GOP Establishment is quite happy with pushing Schumer’s Agenda.

Better solution: constitutional convention of states to produce an amendment that: 1) repeals the 17th amendment and returns to state legislature appointment of senators; 2) term-limits those appointments to 2 terms maximum.

Note that Republicans control 32 state houses, so we would get a filibuster-proof GOP Senate. Also, the state houses are much less likely to turn Democrat in states already "red."

Globalists stick together through thick and thin. I'm sure the Turtle and Schmucky have daily calls to talk about how they're going to that the Trump presidency at every stop.

You are correct. I’ve seen a number of posts stating the only solution is to vote in a 60 majority in the Senate. While I admire their perpetual optimism, now is the time to drain the swamp before it’s too late.

I would bet that President Trump has begrudgingly read Thousands of Contracts and such before Signing them. What he should do is this:

Congress has sent me Legislation to keep the Government running until September and as Soon as the Leaders of Both Houses of Congress read the ENTIRE Legislation, including All other Laws and regulations referenced, in to the Public Record for the American People without pause, I will SIGN IT!
