More than three quarters of African American births are to unmarried women, nearly double the illegitimacy rate of all other births, according to new federal data.
The National Center for Health Statistics said that in 2015, 77.3 percent of non-immigrant black births were illegitimate. The national non-immigrant average is 42 percent, and it was 30 percent for whites.
The new numbers were in a Center for Immigration Studies analysis on the births to immigrants. That total is 32.7 percent, but to Hispanic immigrants it is 48.9 percent, according to Steven Camarota, the director of research for the Center for Immigration Studies.

I guess it’s a “privilege” to actually have a father. The civil society cannot survive this dysfunctional state.

The per capita incidence of multiple wives 4 Muslim men has in the Middle East is actually rather low.

Just a thought—If the US stopped paying unwed women to have children, I bet the illegitimacy rate across all races would drop dramatically.
The logical flip-side of that argument is that the abortion rate would increase dramatically.
I'm not disagreeing that we should stop paying unwed women to have more and more children. I'm simply pointing out what the logical result would be.

Young uneducated unmarried females birthing innocent vulnerable dependent babies should be be stigmatized and condemned as what it is, child abuse/neglect!

Those illegitimate children aren’t just going to disappear, so the illegitimate rate will remain the same. The new births might will have lower illegitimate births, but those may not be at low enough rate to make much of a difference for a century.
He might have hated them, but he had no problem with buying their votes.

A young man who gets a woman pregnant and doesn’t marry her should be placed in a 20 year enlistment in a special Army logistic division.
Let them peel potatoes for 20 years and be forced to send their E1 or E2 pay to the mother of their child.
