From coast to coast, parents are rebelling against what they describe as Islamic indoctrination of their children in public schools.
In Florida, for example, parents are protesting a newly approved textbook they say whitewashes Islam’s violent history of conquest and subjugation, while in San Diego, an angry father confronted the city’s school board about its partnership with the controversial Council on American-Islamic Relations in an “anti-bullying” program.
The Brevard County School Board in Florida has revised a history textbook that had been condemned by some parents for its selective treatment of Islam, but the new edition still has its critics, reported WKMG-TV in Orlando. The board decided Tuesday night by a 5-0 voted to adopt the ninth-grade 2018 World History book published by Pearson Prentice Hall.
The local chapter of the activist group ACT for America pressed for the revision in an effort “to protect against indoctrination,” arguing the section about Islam ignored the religion’s “true history” and painted Muhammad and the treatment of women favorably.
ACT for America’s local leader, Roger Gangitano, told WKMG the new edition is an improvement, but the “problem remains that Islam is being portrayed in a far more favorable light than what would be 100 percent accurate,” with parents calling it partially “incorrect,” “incomplete” and “slanted.”
The Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, is also engaged in the Florida dispute. But the FBI cut off relations with the group after it was designated by the Justice Department as an unindicted co-conspirator in a terror-funding plot. Later, an Arab Gulf state designated CAIR as a terrorist organization.

This ‘Islamic scholar’ issued a 2006 ‘fatwa’ (an authoritative Islamic law ruling), saying that Islam sanctioned genital mutilation b/c sexual enjoyment is ‘better for the husband' when performed on a mutilated female.
Dr Elgahaly acknowledged that ‘the majority of the scholars regard it allowable and some consider it wajib (obligatory)........’ but advised that because FGM is illegal in the West, it should not be performed.”
And yet it is being performed....just recently in Tennessee...without parents' knowledge or consent. A Somali doctor performed the mutilation on American children brought into the hospital's emergency room for other emergency care.
Reports describe Islamic doctors slicing off little girls' genital parts, seing them back up, leaving a passage fror urination.
Some girls died from blood loss....and the torture of the procedure is unbearable.

Dems really, REALLY love Islamics. The co-leader of their party is an Islamic...and foretells a future Democrat Party platform.

I think you are right bro. Their pro Islam tendencies, are a direct result of their anti Christian bigotry. They must think we are really stupid, and can't figure this out on our own.
One would think that with all the Court Decisions regarding the separation of church and State, this would be a FELONY to Teach Religion in a Public School, at the very least they should all be sued Personally and Bankrupted for Life.

Conservative parents need to run for school board.
Although its been some years, the only mentions of Islam in the world history books back then were that Islam was
a Mideast “religion” and that Jefferson sent the Navy and Marines to defeat Muslim Barbary Pirates.
Back in the 80s there was a movement to eliminate teaching of dates and pesky facts from history curricula. Instead, there should be an understanding of context of the times. Conflicts here creating pressures there, etc. all tied to large and vague timelines. The end result, or course, is that it freed the academics from laying out facts and instead writing in their opinions as “context of the times”. And so we get history textbooks free of historical fact, heavy on leftist professor’s opinions and agendas.
We are in the midst of replacing 3 school board members in a school district with a $650 million budget......may 16 election...we will see what happens...if apathy wins, then parents have made their choices. Btw...one progressive (we think) candidate put $20K of her own money into her race.
And also it is VERY DIFFICULT for school board members to effect curriculum
