NOT a good idea.

Liberals would go hog wild, with something like this.

Oh joy, Pandora’s box is about to be opened by all our state politicians!
They’re so much more principled than our founding fathers...

Amend to repeal the 17th. Such an amendment can’t be cheated. Forget everything else.

Not at all. First of all, the state legislatures get to decide who goes to the convention and the majority of states are controlled by Republicans. Second, each state gets only one vote per state on which amendments are to be presented to the states so California and New York can’t bully in bullshit “rights”. Third, 3/4 of the states have to ratify each amendment.

“NOT a good idea.”

It’s a Convention to propose new Amendments to the Constitution. It is not a Constitutional Convention.

All they’re going to do is propose new Amendments and then 38 states have to ratify them before they become law.

It’s about the states taking back control of Fedzilla. Nothing dangerous about it at all unless you’re a lover of unlimited Federal power.

I don’t know.

I am HIGHLY skeptical about this. Big time.

I say no. No. No. No.

Don’t open this up to start, it would be a huge, mess.

Don’t do it.

The naysayers who haven’t the foggiest idea on how, why or even what this is about are first to castigate it because they don’t understand it nor even knew this power existed or resided in the states. You’ll begin hearing the typical fear mongering and defeatism but make no mistake this WILL sent the Feds back to a constitutional form of Government where power resides locally

I truly want this to happen. It’ll be as a defining moment in this country’s history, as the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. The Feds, the Courts, the Special Interests, and the Corporations have destroyed this country. Born in the late 60s and too young to see it all begin, but from what I’ve learned and continue to learn, is that’s when this place really started circling the drain. And the radicals from that era and their ilk, today, have been in a constant battle to destroy this place.

I really want to see how they’ll all react WHEN this thing happens. God willing.

This is the ONLY thing that remains that saves the republic and reigns in the federal beast. They won’t stop spending, they won’t stop borrowing, they won’t limit their powers as enumerated in the Constitution, they will continue to grow, they will continue placing their boots on the back of our necks. Short of a revolution this is the ONLY way the States regain control of Government back to where it belongs. Congress can’t save us, Trump can’t save us but our locally elected reps can and will. Unless of course you and others have a better idea in mind?
