Communist Party leaders pledged that greenhouse gas emissions will peak no later than 2030 under the Paris pact, and start to fall after then.

They could murder 50 million of their citizens like they did last century. That would reduce emissions.

I didn’t realize an individual State could sign a deal with a foreign country.

Isn’t it against the law for states to make deals with foreign countries?

The Kalifornia taxpayers are already being hit for $400 billion for single payer health care, how much more will this “climate deal” cost them?

Even less of an incentive for companies to set up shop in California. In fact it is an incentive for companies to leave California.

The United States contributed $1 billion to the global Green Climate Fund, but the world's top polluters contributed nothing, David Asman reported.

Asman said on "Forbes on Fox" that China, Russia and India contributed no money to the Green Climate Fund, yet that international community pressured the U.S. to join the Paris Climate Accord.

Steve Forbes said that the billion-dollar payment is another reason why President Trump was smart to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris agreement.

Can a US State make Trade Deals with foreign powers?

Answered 12 Nov 2016
No. The constitution gives that power to the federal government. Trade deals must be enforceable and when the usa was under the articles of confederation, states could place tariffs on each other and ignore foreign treaties since no one could enforce them. The us constitution was specifically designed to have a central government that works and can negotitate deals for the whole country.

The individual states cannot enter into treaties with a foreign power, hostile or otherwise.

I wonder how much money Sacramento is supposed to send China? In exchange for China agreeing to reduce CO2 in twenty years.
