Donald Trump is dining at the White House Tuesday night with two senators who will question former FBI Director James Comey Thursday.
Sens. Marco Rubio, Tom Cotton, Todd Young, Cory Gardner, and Reps. Francis Rooney and Lee Zeldin have all been invited to dinner with the president in the residence at 6:30 p.m. Rubio and Cotton, who are both members of the Senate Intelligence Committee, are then scheduled to question Comey during an open and closed session hearing Thursday.

The fact that Sen Cotton will be at the dinner should make Comey REALLY uncomfortable. In a humane way for Comey, I hope they have wool under jumpsuits for Leavenworth. Kansas can be chili in the winter

There was a report that I believe made it to FR pointing out that these pony show investigative committee hearings are the product of “staffers”, who actually compose the questions for the Republicans.
These staffers do not DO Trump. One lead staffer for a Republican is a Democrat. Try that on for size.
Certainly eager to see if that state of affairs has changed after it was exposed in a report made public.

Hahaha. Trump is playimg the media and the democrats. This will give them another 6 months of breathles “RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA” all the while Trump quietly moves his agenda forward.
Trump has zero interest in more “Russia Russia” chatter.
It has rightfully been driving him crazy.
I reckon the President is going to brief them and maybe let them listen to the Army Signal Corps recording of the meeting.
I sure hope the Republicans have at least coordinated their questioning so all points of interest of covered. Usually, each Republican goes off as a cowboy and there is no cohesive case built for our side.
Nothing ever happens to the powerful, ever.
Until I see a penalty applied to a “higher up” I won’t pay
