That tuition isn't free, Gov. Baker. Taxpayers paid for it

There is no such thing as free college tuition.

While it may be free for the fortunate few who get a free college education, somebody pays for it, somebody always pays.

And if you are wondering who that somebody is, all you have to do is look in the mirror.

So, it would be refreshing if free-stuff politicians, like Republican Gov. Charlie Baker and Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, a Democrat -- the mix-and-match couple of Massachusetts politics -- actually took the time to thank the people who make their free-stuff giveaways possible.

I’ve met Charlie Baker and find him to be a charming man with a good amount of charisma. But, Lordy! That man in nothing like a Republican! He’s exactly the sort of “Republican” who can get elected in MA. Very depressing.

So, the government, or for that matter other do-gooders, or even those who think making professional athletes (and entertaining their royalty) is the most important thing a college does), chooses to pay a FAKE PRICE to help a student.

The college pulled that FAKE PRICE out of its behind because it knew would be paid for by OTHER PEOPLE’S MONEY, so the student getting it free would not care.

The FREE MARKET is again broken on purpose by government and do-gooders and whoever.

So who pays? It might be the STUDENTS who are normal middle class kids whose parents have enough resources to not qualify for the do-gooders programs.

And it is everyone who pays higher prices later to help students pay off their high student loans they had to get due to fake prices in college.

Baylor example. $600 a credit hour or so added up to sign up for the first semester. a 3 hour per week English class with 100 students for maybe 18 weeks will cost $1800 x 100 = $180,000 for those students to get taught by some teacher who does not even want to teach that class. $10,000 per class. Teacher windfall! Hardly. It gets used for who knows what. Wow! I am in the wrong business, and colleges have zero credibility. I would have taught it for $5,000, only $300 per hour!

the ‘hidden’ issue is the fact that the slots at the 4 year schools are being taken up by ‘free’ students and subsidized students (guaranteed tuition by the state) and the citizens’ children don’t get accepted because the slots are gone..

I think it’s only fair that the ones paying the tuition, should be able to decide the curriculum.

Absolutely. Eventually “Free Collage” will evolve into a socialist “Utopia” where the government providers of education will determine who goes to college and what course of study they must take. If you are not able to benefit the state, no college for you. Gender Studies, History (except as prescribed by the state), Philosophy (except Marxism), most Liberal Arts, etc. will not be allowed. I suspect that the SJWs will be shocked when the Gender Studies snowflakes are sent to work on the collective farms as laborers because they have no other useful skills.

In Massachusetts, “free” always means taking someone else’s money to pay for it... as long as it isn’t liberals’ money.

It is called brainwashing our little children. We are forced to pay to support an elite who steals our millions and buys up all the areas of “information” like publishing agencies, Hollywood, ‘art”, textbook companies, so they can turn that money into total control of the minds of our children.

This over 100 year “system” works for the few elites and it is all unconstitutional, including the Federal Reserve. Their evil system forces slavery on the virtuous, mandatory State brainwashing on our children, and rewards vice (it destroys our “Justice” system, the minds of children, and now we have a complete Vice system which will rot the culture.

We need to take back our information systems which lie and force disinformation and brainwash our children so they have minds of mush—(snowflakes) and are slaves for life. Tribal group-(non)-thinkers).

Return Classical Christian education so that children are capable of critical thinking and take away the screens and programming of their minds and desires, to make them into immoral, useful idiots who will remain addicts and distracted for life so the elites can bask in their control of the masses.

I pass signs like “Free Lunch”, “Free Breakfast” etc.,which embeds the idea of Marxism into little mush minds. There is no such thing as “free” anything. Look at our evil culture now-—it promotes lies and disinformation and vice 24/7 to condition the little children.

Without virtue formation in children, there is no freedom possible. Only Classical Christian curricula and real life unstructured human interactions creates critical thinkers. Common Sense only exists when embedded inside the Natural family with a moral mother, father paradigm. Understanding of Natural Law (Constitution) is essential and it has to be embedded into young children (Objective Truth (God)).

Americans (and Europe) need to take back their children and grandchildren (and have babies) and get back to real integration of their brains-—unstructured, uncontrolled free association times so agency is learned. They are embedding tribal, slave culture in our children—destroying the ability to think for self (agency).
