What a deal!
After learning that an actor dressed to look just like his father gets brutally murdered on stage in a production of William Shakespeares Julius Caesar, Donald Trump, Jr. asked, I wonder how much of this 'art' is funded by taxpayers?"
Well, thanks to some digging by Adam Andrzejewski, founder of the federal watchdog OpenTheBooks.com, we now know the answer:
"Data at OpenTheBooks.com shows that over $4.1 million in federal, state and city grants funded the New York Shakespeare Festival (NYSF) the parent company to Public Theater and its production, Shakespeare in the Park over the past three years. The total amount since 2009? Nearly $30 million."
The National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) sought to ensure the Trumps that it had not funded this performance, but failed to disclose grants totaling $630,000 to NYSF over the last eight years. Such art couldnt be made possible without those funds.

Trump told us during the campaign no more money for the NEA and then put money in his budget for them. Lessons learned. How about keeping that promise???
What happened to Kathy Griffin?
A cross in urine was better art.
Totally defund the NEA. No more wasting tax dollars.
In a Democrat led state, you live under a dictatorship.
The taxpayer has been funding the left with billions of dollars. Much of this has continued under Trump.
Et tu Bannon
Defund. How much Fed money was involved in supporting the rodeo clown who was nearly lynched and hung for wearing a mask? ANSWER 0.
It looks like there is nothing that can be done about this crap. Maybe fight fire with fire. Get a grant and produce a play denigrating the Left. For example, produce one that covers the life of an oppressed road worker who deals with his(or her) depression by chasing Barack and Hillary with a steamroller and squashing them like the cockroaches they are. Just a thought.
I have written a play where Obama is convicted of treason and shipped off to Gitmo.
When can we put it on?
American Express would like to clarify that our sponsorship of the Public Theater does not fund the production of Shakespeare in the Park nor do we condone the interpretation of the Julius Caesar play, the company tweeted.
Thats only slightly disingenuous, because, as anyone with common sense knows, once the funds go into the Public Theaters coffers, they mix together and can be used to fund any production.
Cut. Every. Last. Penny.
