Actually, Islamic terror charities in the US have been known to simultaneously support both.
Contrary to popular opinion- which has a history of being wrong to the point of silliness - Sunni and Shiite can get along just fine when they find it convenient for attacking any mutually loathed third party.
These guys were scouting out security at Pearson Airport in Toronto and also JFK. They even found employees at the airports willing to carry bags on board planes and tell them where cameras and magnetometers were located, uniforms, and other details useful to an attacker but not a tourist.
