Lobster Weighing Over 20 Pounds Spotted In Logan Luggage [Boston]

BOSTON (CBS) – TSA agents have found a number of strange things in luggage over the years, but their latest unusual discovery is uniquely New England.

A spokesman shared a photo Monday of a lobster weighing more than 20 pounds. The crustacean was detected in a checked bag in Terminal C (JetBlue) on Sunday morning.

Lobsters can travel in either carry-on or checked bags. They’re a common sight at New England airports, but this one was notable because of how large it is.

The TSA tells WBZ-TV that the lobster was traveling in a cooler and was alive and well.

Surprised they didn’t run him through the x-ray machine. He could have been packing heat.

My daughter and family just went to Cape Cod on their annual two week vacation. They had a lobster boil last night.

I had fried baloney. Sad....

Did the TSA impound it along with any butter and tiny forks the passenger may have had?

Trophy lobsters this size aren’t good to eat, from what I hear. Keep it in a tank if you want, but better to leave it in the ocean, where it’ll probably live longer.

Fake news.
25 lb lobster fed me for a week. Tastes better than any little guy.
The greenies don’t want us to know...global warming...and all that.

Got that right. The bigger the lobster, the older it is. The older it is, the tougher the meat. Same principle as chickens, cows and other members of the Animal Kingdom that we humans consume.

So why is a TSA goon opening the cooler, removing the lobster, and taking a picture? Do they also open cleared luggage, and take pictures holding up ladies undies?

Beat me to it ... big ones have a bitter (Mercury?) taste, just like huge shrimp.

(Think Mutton vs Lamb when it comes to taste quality)
