The article says gun owners are stocking up on ammunition now before the restrictive law is effective. This is reminiscent of Americans stocking up on incandescent light bulbs before the effective date of the Boxer-supported law banning them and requiring CFL’s.
Why do I get the impression that all the democrat clowns in Sacramento are stocking up on ammunition company stocks in the same manner that I believe Barbara Boxer may have with CFL manufacturers? In my opinion, that is the main function of these bans, not to promote safety.
There's lies, and there's damn lies, and that's a damn lie...
The competition shooters will be reduced to 10-rd mags because it’s in public. They’re not happy. Private owners will ignore the law.
As usual, the police gladly support the implementation of the police state.
Early on, you'll probably see selective application of the law, in which poor black and hispanic folk will be zealously prosecuted for violation of this 'law'. Eventually though, everyone will be a target.
“... California is now governed by people we can credibly call enemy aliens ...”
The endgame for this insanity is going to really shock some people. The American people have always been able to take care of themselves.
I love this comment from Thomas.
“This Court has already suggested that the Second Amendment protects the right to carry firearms in public in some fashion. As we explained in Heller, to ‘bear arms’ means to ‘wear, bear, or carry upon the person or in the clothing or in a pocket, for the purpose of being armed and ready for offensive or defensive action in a case of conflict with another person.’” As Thomas observed, “I find it extremely improbable that the Framers understood the Second Amendment to protect little more than carrying a gun from the bedroom to the kitchen.”
Of course law abiding gun owners will be breaking the law - it’s what they do.
“Dan Haar: Untold Thousands Flout Gun Registration Law”
That 50,000 figure could be as little as 15 percent of the rifles classified as assault weapons owned by Connecticut residents, according to estimates by people in the industry..
.. Connecticut has very likely created tens of thousands of newly minted criminals perhaps 100,000 people, almost certainly at least 20,000 who have broken no other laws. By owning unregistered guns defined as assault weapons, all of them are committing Class D felonies.
