Colorado Republicans cried foul when, after the last U.S. Census in 2010, the state Supreme Court approved a Democratic-drawn map reapportioning the state's 65 House seats.
GOP leaders, including then-party chair Ryan Call, argued the new map packed Republican legislators into individual districts, diminishing their clout, especially in the metropolitan Denver area.
....
"Democrats are absolutely benefiting from the current maps, and there's no question they won't continue if the process doesn't change," Call said. "Republicans have not shown themselves to be good at legal challenges. Hats off to the Democratic litigators."
Colorado was one of just eight U.S. states with a Democratic advantage in its lower house districts in the 2016 election

In Colorado, Democrats won 57 percent of state House seats in November even though Republicans won 50.4 percent of the statewide vote. Democrats won 37 of 65 House seats, theoretically five more than would be expected based on their statewide vote share.

Colorado Ping ( Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
DU has been chanting “gerrymandering” like it’s a magic spell incantation, but I’m sure they’d approve of it in this case.
When Democrats win, Democrats get to make the calls.
When Republicans win, Democrats get a judge to let them make the calls.
“May”???
If the districts all had to follow the simple rule that an equal amount of the district had to be both rural and urban by population, the entire country would be Republican... think about that....
Oh, they are benefiting, and it’s ruining the state. The CO supreme court are leftist hacks. Co republican party are wimps.

When we let our own virtues be used against us by people with no virtues at all, we let our virtues become a suicide pact.
We need to have virtues, but we need to stop letting them be used against us.
Any objective method of setting up congressional districts will be killed by both parties because it would destroy the establishment.
2018 and on to 2020.
Census and redistrict...
Might be, but setting all of them up for democRats is destroying the state. And because of that ‘rats have destroyed voter integrity in the state.
Democrat cheaters promote voter - motor laws to get criminals / illegals to vote.
Plus ballots are sent to apartment buildings , like in the larger Denver metro - front range , where the tenants often leave / turn over.
Chances that Democrat activists watch for not collected ballots to be filled out later ?
The Secretary of State swears they check signatures against those on file, but I’ve been skeptical of mail voting from the beginning.
I assume Dems in that State are mostly popular on tv?
Exactly, see post #11
Democrats are the ONLY ones that ever benefit from gerrymandering.
RECTANGLE DISTRICT
All Govt representation districts should be rectangular. Size not limited, only shape. That creates equal representation and prevents gerrymandering.
People should demand it.

Didn't SCOTUS just alter gerrymandering a few days ago?

If only eligible voters were allowed to vote, the entire country would be Republican.
