To believe, in the 1980s, that Ronald Reagan was going to blow up the world may have been merely peculiar. To believe so today is a symptom of raging Reagan Derangement Syndrome. And yet here we are, with The Reagan Show, a new documentary rehashing the paranoid style of Reaganography, set for limited theatrical release on June 30 and video-on-demand release shortly thereafter.
The continuing popularity of President Reagan is a source of profound irritation and unease to liberals. To assuage their pain, they have gone back to their initial rationalization for how Reagan became so beloved: He cheated. Though a lousy actor, he nonetheless fooled the common man with his mesmeric performing skills. Its the old false-consciousness story: If we liked the man, trickery must have been involved.

...oh yes, and the U.S.S.R. rigged the elections...
The Left, absolute desperation!
Reagan was going to blow up the world....
Reagan caused homelessness
Reagan caused AIDS
At the time there was only ABC!CBS!NBC and PBS
Reagan was just a dumb actor
Actually Reagan learned. what the working man was up against when he did Some show for General Electric
in his contract he traveled to different GE plants and talked to management and then visited the workers at the various plants..
Dear Left Wing Loons:
Look at it this way: your side cheated and YOU LOST!
Your side keeps attempting to trick us and we DON’T BUY IT!
Therefore, cheating and trickery in and of themselves, DO NOT WORK ON THE RIGHT.
Now, retreat to your safe spaces and try to engage those few lonely synapses and think about it for a while. You just may be able to figure it out.
But, we hope you never do.
He got it better than anyone prior to Trump. There’s no doubt about that.
I agree with your observations.
He’s been number one on my list until now, and it remains to be seen if he remains there.
IMO < Trump is making a very strong run up until now.
He’s just a crafty adversary, and that’s exactly what we need at this point in time. I don’t think we could have found a better guy right now. It’s amazing.
I will say, it would be great if they did wake up and see what the Left has been pulling on them for the last 50 years.
Those Leftist leaders need to tared and feathered, and who better to do the deed than the people they lied to, and bought off on it all.
Yeah, these liberals always called Reagan an “actor.”
Meanwhile, he was governor of the most populous state in the union for eight years, i.e. California, back in the days when California was an amazing, mostly-conservative state.
Libs still blame for stuff, homelessness, disease, the rain.
The only man I ever “loved”.
Miss him everyday...:(
I’ll never forget when I got the phone call from my Mom telling me he died, instant crying.
The problem was that this comment came AFTER Reagan had retired and had faithfully guarded the keys to the nuclear football quite responsibly. This guy was so blinded by Reagan Derangement that he didn't even recognize the facts of history. Such is much of Liberal Faith today.
Yeah, I was pretty busted up when Ronnie died as well.
He truly understood America, BEING American, and all that it meant for unborn generations for it to still BE here for them.
Not like the Long National Nightmare of the last eight years that we just booted out.
100 years from now, they’ll still be talking about Reagan. Not so much about the Kenyan communist...
