Go ahead and criticize President Trump’s Mika tweet, but there’s no denying this was disturbing. On Thursday’s Hardball, MSNBC pundit Chris Matthews compared the President to not only communist Ethiopian dictator Mengistu Haile Mariam and a modern-day Romanov but also channel Benito Mussolini having son-in-law Jared Kushner murdered.
As he’s previously done(documented here, here, and here), Matthews reiterated his belief that Kushner and wife Ivanka Trump are akin to the murderous sons of Saddam Hussein, Uday and Qusay.
Let’s first start with Matthews invoking Mengistu. During a tease about reported disarray in the Trump administration with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson being stonewalled from doing his job, Matthews gloated about the “meltdown.”
“It’s a far cry from that love feast we watched a few weeks ago, which is right out of Mengistu’s government in Ethiopia with all the people bowing to the president. Apparently all is not well in paradise,” Matthews quipped.
Later, Matthews told The Washington Post’s Ashley Parker that he’s “allowed to have opinions” (unlike print reporters, supposedly) “and one of my opinions was that nepotism is a bad thing in government” as evidenced by the supposed American incarnations of the Husseins:
You put Uday and Qusay in your government and you’re going to have a problem with everybody else in the government because nobody can fight with them. Nobody can challenge them and, in the end, the son-in-law is always right because he can always to go his father-in-law or his wife and say they were mean to me.
Instead of Tillerson overseeing foreign policy, Matthews observed how “[t]he power seems to have gone to the son-in-law” and thus the Trump’s are “the Romanovs.”

Once Parker finished her thoughts on how the Trump’s perceive what they’re doing as simply running government like a business, Matthews told New York Times columnist Frank Bruni that it might behoove Trump to take a page out of Mussolini’s playbook, which was murder your son-in-law.
Chris Mathews was successfully replaced by an orange traffic cone.
They should do it again.
Tillerson is a made man. What he has accomplished from where he started is amazing.
I don’t like his climate change nonsense but he is a powerful man. The story about the clash between him and Kushner may not be true but I can see where he would certainly have problems taking orders and being stepped on from someone like Kushner.
But Trump having Kushner murdered??????? Sheesh...hyperbole much???...
No one sane would even give this - or Chris Matthews - a nano-second of their time or consideration.
MSNBC is a joke - good only for mocking, impugning and making fun of. Nothing more.

What, this is new? Does he think we’ve all forgotten Hillary’s “two presidents for the price of one”, openly interfering with public policy as if she were an elected official? I don’t like it one bit, from either party, but it’s certainly not unprecedented.

“Fourth, Tillerson took a job for which he was not remotely qualified and which demanded skills he never developed as chief executive of an oil company. His role now includes public diplomacy, but he shuns the press. His effectiveness depends on demonstrating the president’s support, but he ludicrously defends a budget that would eviscerate his department. And he wonders why he doesn’t have influence?”
Matthews might not get a tingle up his leg from Trump, but the president might make Matthews tinkle down his leg.

The left has already made crass remarks about his wife and children. Not to mention Trump’s dad. This doesn’t even count the calls for Trump to be killed!
They have already ratcheted it up so hard, that Trump can put a boot in their ass in a tweet, and it would STILL be far more kind than the stuff they have been saying about him for 2 years.
People look at the Tweet and give him kudos because there is no sympathy for the media. The left can only respond with the same stuff they have already been saying for months!

They are so stunned by Trump that they don’t know what to do. They tried lies and Trump proved them to be lies and we all now know the truth. Now they just dream out loud. Anything to feed they sick and getting sick dwindling number of viewers.

And the Left accuses Trump of being mentally ill. I think about 99% of them are hearing Trump voices in their heads.
