He apparently lost his job there back in 2015.

A threat like that should be taken as an actual attempt and dealt with accordingly. Hope all involved were democrats.

That is understandable. The ones that can do something about it are not the ones being threatened. Never forget, the Powers That Be have a high tolerance for our pain. But that is the way it goes.
If they went after everyone who threatened their former employers, that’s all the cops would be doing.
Bottom line, if you eff with someones employment, you better have a damn good reason for firing them. Over and above legal issues, it’s because if they think for one second they got shorted or screwed unfairly, things can go south real fast for those who had the employee terminated.
And sometimes these people will show up *years* later to exact their vengeance. This has happened many times.
