Are the net gain (for republican party) based on net republican - net democrat?

Good news! But, if we can’t get the Uniparty Republicans to work on Republican’s, and thus the country’s, interests, these increases won’t mean a thing. Just like now!

“You all can have two full retirement checks, from your employer and Social Security”

There are so few people who work for companies who have pension plans. They may have a 401K plan, but that is NOT the same thing.

Just FYI: if you worked for the federal government and qualify for a pension, and you have enough quarters of outside employment to qualify for Social Security, and you wait to take Social Security until benefits max at age 70, you can receive both earned pensions.

Excellent news, excellent work! :)

You should send your data findings to all of the Alphabet Channels and CNN. I’m certain they’d want to share this FANTASTIC information with the rest of America!

If you can’t afford to be retired, get a job. Nobody ever promised you a wealthy retirement at a given age. If you didn’t save enough money throughout your lifetime to retire with the amount of money you need to live, quit whining, get a job, and get over it.

I lived outside the US for over 20 years. I haven’t paid into the SS system since 1991. Nor do I have a government pension.

my wife and I just saved, lived debt free, and invested. I retired 5 years ago at 52.

You all can have two full retirement checks, from your employer and Social Security, but not federal and postal retirees. You can double dip but not us.

I don't understand why your retirement is reduced when you take SS. I like to better understand that.

What I can say though is the rest of us are NOT double-dipping as you say. I paid into SS and worked for 40 years to get a pension. They are two separate things.

I had tax clients who were retired military, then worked for US Gov't, then worked for defense contractors..

They collected military pension, government pension, private pension and social security.
