The insult is that gubernatorial debates in Virginia are little more than smaller versions of the carefully packaged affairs weve all witnessed at the national level.
What people watch for and what the press and political junkies delight in are those gotcha moments that make for great copy and easy attack lines.
But lets indulge Gillespie on his demand for many debates and ignore his own ducking and dodging on the issue in the waning months of the Republican primary.
Lets have 10 debates. Or 19, as the Roanoke Times has suggested.
But lets also insist on a couple of things.
That all the debates be televised and carried during prime-time viewing hours so that voters can watch and form their opinions in real time.
That the debates every single one of them include the libertarian candidate, Cliff Hyra.

The REAL polling data must be closer than is comfortable for the Compost. So they want to dilute and split the non ‘RAT vote as much as possible so that Virginia won’t have a Republican governor elected to preside over Virginia’s redistricting from the 2020 census.
Oh...I forgot to say “cue the idiots who say it doesn’t matter whether the ‘RAT or the Republican will be governor”.
Yeah, the Republicans will let the Liberaltarian in the debates....as long as the Demonrats allow the Greens, Commies, etc to debate!
