CNN commentator and longtime Clinton ally Paul Begala said Wednesday that the U.S. should be debating whether to "blow up" agencies like the GRU in an apparent call for President Donald Trump to bomb Russia.
Begala, who like many Democrats praised Barack Obama for mocking Mitt Romney's description of Russia as "our No. 1 geopolitical foe" in 2012, said on CNN that Russia is a "hostile foreign power" and the Trump administration should be "retaliating massively" for Russian meddling in the U.S. presidential election in 2016.
"We were and are under attack by a hostile foreign power, and they seem to be abetting that hostile foreign power," Begala said, according to the Daily Beast. "We should be debating how many sanctions we should place on Russia, or whether we should blow up the KGB or GSU, GRU [Russia's foreign military intelligence agency.] We should be retaliating massively. By the way, if I were a Trump supporter, I would want to retaliate massively because it has tainted his victory."

I am totally mystified as to all this call for war on Russia.
I don’t really care about the Ukraine or Georgia. Historically the Russians going back to Peter the Great and before have always desired to have a warm water port on the Black Sea. They can sort it out themselves.
I remember when Nixon went to China and the Soviet Union in 1972 and most of the country and politicians supported the efforts to bring China into the world and the efforts to calm tensions with the Soviets with Glasnost. Most all thought they were good ideas.
Now we have people on the Right and Left that seem to want war and Trump is the only person who seems to be trying to avoid it and have stable relations with Russia.
So someone please explain it all to me.

Well, the media has reported two types of “allegations”:
Type 1: According to unnamed sources...
Type 2: If there was collusion, this might have happened...
This kind of reporting would have gotten you laughed out of the profession years ago. But now, it’s par for the course.
With Hillary in, they could have a war and the war would not only be an excuse for the economic mess, it would be reason to Federalize everything still not under Federal control.
With Trump in, they know he won't sit quietly in the Whitehouse and let the media lie about him the way Bush did, he'll go on the campaign trail giving explicit details of what Democrat fascist program or EO caused which aspects of the problem. He'll also have solutions that will work, not solutions that further the Globalist agenda which includes turning Americans into little more than serfs with the government selecting who can to go college, where you can work, how much you can work (wanna share those minimum wage hours, doncha know), and so on
