The SCOTUS has ruled. The administration should ignore this political hack judge and continue the ban.

i think the 9th has warned this Obama -soros operative..
I suspect they will tell the dangerous creatire to stop.
If Sessions is done hiding under his desk this can
be stopped to this today but speedy or effective he is not.

Who needs legislators and executives when one judge can do all that work?

No.did people here not read the decision??????????.

Scotus did not define bone fide. Gave examples but no definition. Of course grandparents are bone fide relations.

However...we do have some reference in immigration law but the ban had expanded on that particular range

The Constitution provides Congress with the means of removing judges. They just don’t do it.

Trump and DOJ should say “I’m ignoring federal judge ruling and deferring to Supreme Court”

i read what Thomas said.
Trump and Sessions simply can stall until Oct and let the legal challenges get
thrown back to the 9th who will defer to the SC again .
They don't have to comply immediately to a this judges whims. .

Why wouldn’t the Supreme Court immediately overrule that judge?

In his ruling, Watson said, “The government’s definition represents the antithesis of common sense.”

This is the same rationale that many jurisdictions once used to defy civil rights laws.

Hawaii’s been paid for with American blood. I’d rather see this bastard judge get impeached and put in jail.

It does not matter. Trump can ignore this ruling. The SCOTUS has handed down their decision. The Dist Court has totally overstepped.

Wow. What a terribly written headline.

The state is not involved in the original ruling, or this effort to thwart it.

This is a Federal judge on the island attempting to over-rule a distinction placed on the action by the Supreme Court — the court superior to his. This is beyond stupid.

The Supreme Court grant cert (said it would pick up the matter) and stayed the injunctions in part. Justice Thomas, in his concurring decision, did warn:

The compromise [balancing test in the staying of injunctions in part] also will invite a flood of litigation until this case is finally resolved on the merits, as parties and courts struggle to determine what exactly constitutes a “bona fide relationship” …

OK, prove that you're a grandparent. It would take at least 3 separate documents, 2 birth certificates and an ID that proves who you are. If there's a question about any one of the documents, then no entry.

Immigration law does have definitions for who can get an immigrant visa...not grandparents. But that is for immigration ..not visit.

Docs in third world countries are sketchy to begin with
