There are much easier and cheaper ways of crippling the USA than attempting an EMP attack.

Backing Democrats for office, for one!

The EMP answer resides

in the power & conduction contrasts

between A) electrical insulator (tested) and B) electronics interface (untested).

Perhaps you can explain those to us.

Otherwise, I can explain, WE ARE SCREWED!

Ya, and what will those SSBNs come back to?

“and their nuclear obliteration is assured right after that”

Do you really think they give a rats ass? You forgetting that These bastards have no regard for human life and that they really think its assured that they will go to Allah Heaven if they get eliminated? The NORKs? They have the same. They think that the phat little effer leading that country is god.

And maybe you forgot this?

EMP answer in layman’s terms.

Electronic: Create static charge voltage, by dragging your feet across the living room carpet, while handling your internal computer circuit boards. Damage is easy, even without EMP.

Electrical: Hold an incandescent light bulb in your hand. Keep shuffling & rubbing the carpet. Make the light bulb turn on or burn out.

EMP can effect the bulb from far away. You cannot.
EMP can far easier burn out electronics, due to micro gaps and semi conduction. Nuclear power plants are sitting ducks.

No, I would much rather see DC nuked instead.

Sure, let us destroy the very documents that caused the greatest nation to be born. Let us vaporize all of the art, books, history of this nation that is found in the many museums. Let us obliterate all of the monuments to the generations of achievers and heroes of our nation.

Guess that is better than losing a fish restaurant and some cable cars.

I truly hate posters on this site that think a nuke falling on this or that city/state is a good thing. Tell me where you live and I can make a case for one falling on you and yours, but I will not play that stupid game. This is our COUNTY, each and every piece of it. No matter how misguided or lost the residents of the city/state may be, it is still our country.

Here is one for you. Tell me if ANY substation transformers are manufactured in the USA.

How many spares are there on hand?

None and very few, unless they have changed that in the last couple years.

Not being a a drama queen.

A few posters have confused the carbon fiber chaff weapons with EMP weapons.

There are also a number of types of EMP devices using a range of nuclear and non nuclear process.

My main point was that recent ballistic missile tests by North Korea do use launch trajectory that would be consistent with the deployment of a nuclear weapon for an EMP attack.

This sort of attack does not require a miniaturized warhead, sophisticated re entry heat shielding , precision guidance or decoy, so NK could deploy such a weapon system in the very near term and maybe they already have the capability

>>Pretty much, but I was counting on you being a total idiot and letting that fly right over your head.

>>Fact is, to claim anyone not believing your fairytale means they are not sane places you in the insane category.

Which fairytale is that? When did I accuse anyone of insanity? I noticed that you chose to be deliberately deceptive by only quoting the part of my post that makes it look like I believe a fairy tale, but not the part that shows that I said virtually the SAME THING you did.

So, since we have established that you are dishonest and I am not as much of an idiot as you thought, let’s review my post:

“No serious person says that EMP is nonsense, because it is real. The BS is the Forstchen “One Second After” scenario where the EMP is 100% effective and ends civilization across the entire American continent.”

And your post:

“EMP is a real event, it just doesn’t destroy all things electronic and electrical as the Internet nerds claim.”

We seem to believe or, more accurately, disbelieve the same fairy tale. If you must lie like the girls who write those MoveOn dot org emails, remember that the internet has memory.

Lots of open source info on the use of aluminum chaff to take out Bagdad’s electrical grid during the opening hours of both wars. As far as an EMP device being used that would be classified, however the Air Forces EC-130H Compass Call is not, it uses electromagnetic radiation to jam and fry electronics check it out: http://www.af.mil/About-Us/Fact-Sheets/Display/Article/104550/ec-130h-compass-call/

Well I sure hope none of the Trump family are in New York any time soon since that is your wish.

Yes this is still our Country, and the citizens have inalienable rights—thank goodness, that cannot be taken away by people playing a game of “pin the nuke on the city we don’t like.”

Asking the question was outrageous, fact that posters are actually “voting” listing where they would like to see nuked is chilling. The thinking is very similar to the elitists on the left...you know the Margaret Sanger eugenics wing of the party...
