If you’re referring to Sarah Huckabee Sanders, she’s not a hyphen. No hyphen there. She’s just continued to proudly use her maiden name as part of her publicly known working name.
Most women who use the hyphen are the only one of the marital unit who do use it. Occasionally, very rarely, will you see a man who uses a hyphenated name.
Used to be that only professional women, or women well-known in their line of work, would keep their maiden names. That all changed in the 70s.
