WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump told a reporter asking questions Monday to be "quiet."

A White House reporter called out questions as Trump posed for photographs with interns in the East Room. Asked if Attorney General Jeff Sessions should resign, Trump rolled his eyes. When the reporter asked the president if he had a message on health care, Trump said "quiet."

The president then told the interns that the reporter "was not supposed to do that" and was "breaking a code."

Anyway, watching the general behavior of the press at public events reminds me of a birds nest where the youngsters are all competing for the worm. It would be funny if it wasn't so stupid to see grown adults shoving and out yelling each other.

The reporter was probably only allowed in to watch the photo session with the condition to indeed be quiet and not disrupt the session. He broke the agreement and Trump rightly called him on it.

The ‘reporters’ (term used loosely) hate Trump because he treats them the way they should be treated - as ordinary citizens with a job to do. For too many years journalism has attracted those who want to use that career as a springboard to fame and connections. The sad reality is that their job is in part to remind those we elect to office that they are public servants and also ordinary citizens with a job to do. Instead, in conjunction with the left, they have created their own media-public office-liberal politics Hollywood, along with their own awards ceremonies and commensurate salaries for the ‘journalism celebrities’. Trump treats them like ‘Jimmy Olsen’, which is who they're supposed to be.

Great point. I wonder how many of these people would have gone into journalism if there were no bylines or face-time. I bet the ranks would be decreased by at least 2/3rds. This is the hypocrisy that really bothers me. They push the message of ‘championing the little people’, all the while fighting to make sure they aren't part of the ‘little people’.
