Forgetting their politics the only one artist with a real legacy is Heston. Bono maybe but only as a part of U2. The others will not likely be remembered 1 or 2 hundred years from now. Trump of course will as President but not for any artistic endeavors.

Well, that’s weird.
I didn’t much like any of them UNTIL Nugent, Heston, Baio, Cameron and Trump got political and I started liking them more. And the others, went from ‘I dislike’ to ‘I despise’.

These are all yesterdays mashed potatoes. Half I don’t even know. Heston has been dead for years. Nugent was no surprise. I can’t name a Kid Rock song. Given the skew, I’m surprised Ronald Reagan or Tom Selleck aren’t on this list of has-beens.

I liked Bono best as a writer, when he composed songs like
Koko Joe, a hit for Don and Dewey in 1958. "S. Christie," his pseudonym, was given the writer's credit on the label.
After he got political, he had a pretty good voting record representing California's 44th Congressional District in the House of Representatives. I saw him up close at the 1992 California Republican Party Convention (back when California had a Republican Party).
