President Donald Trump made one of his most explicit threats to cut off payments to insurance companies to force senators and lobbyists back to the bargaining table for a GOP health-care bill, and saying, for the first time, that he was also willing to cancel some of lawmakers’ health-care benefits.
“If a new HealthCare Bill is not approved quickly, BAILOUTS for Insurance Companies and BAILOUTS for Members of Congress will end very soon!” Mr. Trump tweeted Saturday.
For months, Mr. Trump has threatened to stop reimbursements to insurance companies—a part of the ACA—but his administration has always paid them in the end, including amid significant uncertainty in June and at a crucial moment in GOP negotiations just a week ago in July.

Both of these subsidies are illegal.
The insurance subsidies are payments that Congress did not authorize.
The small business exemption for Congress is intended, by law, only for businesses with fewer than 50 employees- Congress has thousands.
Not sure about that. There is much in the ACA that is up to discretion of the administration. Obama was doing all kinds of stuff to shield his favored groups from all kinds of provisions of that law.
Mr. President, Donald J. Trump...you get on the phone and order that low life scum & vermin, Mitch McConnell & Paul Ryan to order their Caucuses back to work...then inform them there will be no vacation recess for the rest of the year until the Nations and people business is taken care of in a satisfactory way!!! Then put all of these Congress critters S.O.Bs on Obamacare just like the rest of the American peons!!! Do it!!! If I were POTUS, these low lifes would be working every weekend and every holiday until they became productive. And get that McConnell buffoon to pass a fifty-one vote rule...period, immediately.
