NEW YORK (Reuters) - A majority of Americans believe that transgender individuals should be allowed to serve in the military, according to an exclusive Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll released on Friday. The July 26-28 poll suggested that the country largely disagrees with President Donald Trump's announcement this week that he will ban transgender personnel from the armed forces. When asked to weigh in on the debate, 58 percent of adults agreed with the statement, "Transgender people should be allowed to serve in the military." Twenty-seven percent said they should not while the rest answered "don't know." Democrats mostly supported military service by transgender Americans while Republicans were divided on the issue.

It’s simply a lie! More people agree with the President than disagree. People realize that someone encumbered with mixed up feelings about who they are are definitely going to cost more both in terms of money for treatment and for surgeries. They don’t want this!

Yes. And more Americans in florida, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania said they would vote for Hillary as well according to these same great pollsters. When it’s politically incorrect, people don’t share their true feelings because we’ve been conditioned to keep our thoughts from the liberal progressive oppressors.
I call BS on this. The vast majority of Americans think those involved in such topic are beyond normal, needing help psychologically, or simply want nothing to do with them period, and consider themselves lucky they don’t if asked.

Change that question to “I would place my life in the hands of a transgender soldier” and the numbers might change. If it doesn’t, then we need to bring back the draft with no deferments so the children of wealthy liberals can practice what they preach. We could even form special brigades of trannys, homos, and liberals.
All this for less than 1/10 of 1 percent of the general population, meaning (as some calculated here) maybe 2 or 3 hundred “soldiers.”

That is not true. Either the survey is heavily weighted or the question posed was constructed to elicit the answer they wanted.
I don’t think the average person on the street knows what a transgender is.
I absolutely guarantee that many that are FOR transgenders in the military only feel that way because Trump is against it.
It’s like the Hawaiian judge who was so concerned about Syrian immigrants not being able to visit Hawaii. He only wanted to go against Trump and didn’t give a damn about Syrians.
