McMaster Firing Bannon Allies
Newsmax ^ | 3 Aug 2017

National security adviser H.R. McMaster has started to clean house at the National Security Council, firing two staffers originally hired by Michael Flynn, the former national security adviser shown the door for lying about his communications with Russia, and loyal to Trump Chief Strategist Steve Bannon.

Last week, McMaster fired Derek Harvey, the National Security Council's top official for the Middle East, The Atlantic reports.

And this week, McMaster lowered the boom on Ezra Cohen-Watnick, the National Security Council's senior director for intelligence.

The White House said of Cohen-Watnick's firing that McMaster "has determined that, at this time, a different set of experiences is best-suited to carrying that work forward."

A senior administration official familiar with the matter told The Atlantic that Cohen-Watnick is expected to be offered another job within the administration.

The Atlantic says McMaster tried to can Cohen-Watnick earlier this year, but was turned down by President Donald Trump following the intervention of Bannon and the president's son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

The axings come as Trump's appointees appear to be flexing their political muscles more and more.

I suppose Trump was supposed to end world hunger in the first six months, too?

There was a saying in the military that still applies today: “hurry up and wait.” That means, sometimes you have to repress your impulse to belly-ache and second-guess what’s going on above your paygrade, and exhibit the virtue of patience.

In case you haven’t noticed, Trump has been fighting the Deep State at the same time he’s pushing, no, dragging the country forward. Two or three battles at a time is enough for any man. When Trump gets some breathing room, and he will, he will take up the embassy battle and Jerusalem will get their embassy, just like he promised. Until then, sit tight and show the man some support by crawling down the necks of your congresscritters - who apparently have very little to keep themselves occupied.

Look at the videos. What's military vehicles doing at these Walmart FEMA camps? They're also collecting oversized plastic casket liners (They bought 500,000 of them) and are putting guard towers in the inside corners of these buildings. There's also unexplained booms being heard from them. It seems to me that they could not get enough tunneling equipment or they stumbled into some impenetrable hard rock so they had to blast.

Certain top level types in the military have either been bribed or blackmailed or are deep in it. Podesta and McMaster for sure. Trump thinks generals are clean but not these two. Podesta is believed to be the ring leader.

only because you’re a FReeper, I’m gonna help you out of that rabbit hole you seem to be stuck in.

from

https://www.metabunk.org/debunked-fema-coffins-plastic-grave-liners.t904/

“65,000 people die every year in Georgia alone. 2.5 Million people die every year in the US. Not all of them are buried, and not all burials use grave liners, and not all of them use this type, but that’s still a lot of grave liners sold every year.

But how many could there actually be in that field? The conspiracy theorist claim 500,000. Well, a single vault is 3’ by 8’, so takes up 24 square feet. The field is about 500 feet long, 250 to 450 feet wide, and not totally filled, so let’s say 500x250, that’s 125,000 square feet, with a stack taking a minimum of 24 square feet, the most you could pack in would be 125000/24 = about 5200 stacks. At 14 per stack (as per the truck image) that’s about 73,000....

The vaults are not there any more, you can see the site in Google at 33.5657680, -83.4848390. The last of the grave liners were removed in around 2010. “

( I think if you look back in the pork barrel bills of 2006-08, the reason Vantage had those containers in the field to begin with is because their Congresscritter got some extra fed business for Vantage)

(and then there’s the whole, if they are gonna burn us up at Walmart, why do they need coffins when they got ponds for the ashes? And if they are gonna kill us instead of burning us up, why would they even bother with coffins? Mass graves are easier and a lot cheaper and graveyard space is pretty expensive - and obvious.)

“It’s all well and good for us to think that Rice is guilty as hell and belongs in jail. But unless she gets indicted it would be highly unusual for McMaster to deny her access to to materiel she handled when she was NSA. She’s not seeing anything new despite the ignorant bellowing of Hannity.”

You forget in your erudite posturing that we are not dealing with respectable people. We are dealing with liars who think nothing of covering up serious crimes and using our intelligence infrastructure against the American people and the leaders they have chosen. They all need to have their access cut and be treated as enemies of the people. And, Hannity has been proven right over and over again.

Well, you can add Levin to the list of “bellowing.” and I don’t think he is ignorant—Not sure of your credentials, but like him or not Levin is a Constitutional scholar and did work in Dept. of Justice.

For most positions in industry, when you leave, your access ceases. You leave your keys, badge, the laptop and company phone with the company, and you lose email access.

People in sensitive areas are often escorted out the door as soon as they give notice—leaving the company laptop with the company, etc....

Therefore I don’t think that is unreasonable to expect the same be required by government employees—especially hostile ones.

You are defending this based on an Obama EO...If that EO is still in place, Trump needs to rescind it immediately!!!

1. They're like plastic chairs that stack. Each one takes about a half inch in the stack. Then there's a stack of lids. See the video. It shows them. Links are disappearing.
2. I might be wrong on the ponds, but they weren't needed before.
3. Also look up 'boomtown' in youtube. This was reported on NBC.
4. I'm expecting a market and worldwide financial crash by October and they'll blame it on Trump if they can't impeach him first.

Forrest McDonald is a Constitutional scholar. Bernard Bailyn is a Constitutional scholar. You think Levin is one because you haven’t read people who are.

Evidently Mark the Bellowing Scholar didn’t bother to inform his listeners of EO 13526 4.4 “Access by Historical Researchers and Certain Former Government Personnel.”

That EO hasn’t been rescinded. Rice qualifies for access to her old papers under that EO. Is she under indictment? No. So what reason do you suggest we give for denying her access to her old papers? Because she’s icky?

So you advocate ignoring the EO on the basis that you don’t like the person it would benefit.

How exactly does that make you any different than all those Deep State Leakers who think that they can just ignore the rules because they don’t like Trump?

” And, Hannity has been proven right over and over again.”

Yeah, that sure explains why he’s been saying that Rice now has “immunity” and access to everything at NSA, when in fact the EO expressly limits her to papers she originated, signed, read or reviewed.

Obviously he can count on his fanboys not to bother reading the EO, since he sure didn’t bother to do so himself. I mean it takes all of a minute to find it with google and that would be so hard.

There you go again with your constant second-guessing. It seems like all you ever do.

At this point Trump deserves what ever happens to him.

What utter garbage. Anytime a little rough spot appears, it's time to indulge your Trump-bashing impulses.

Rome wasn't built in a day, and the Swamp won't be drained in a day. Steady wins the race—not knee-jerk lashing out.

President Trump didn't get where he is today by not being aware of his surroundings.

The man has earned our trust and loyalty a dozen times over, and yet it's always "the glass is half empty" & "the sky is falling" with his fair weather friends...

Well thank you for that quite snarky reply...So elitist.

So you bring 2 authors, one deceased and one 94, perhaps not that well known to casual students of the Consitution as they have not written any books in more than a decade as an insult to me Wow, way to make friends and influence people with your opinion—NOT.

Soooo, are you saying these two favorite authors of yours are the only arbiters of Constitutional understanding?? Are you saying that Levin and others are ignorant? Gee, I guess Levin’s founding of Landmark Legal and joining cases brought to the Supremes (rather than writing books) accounts for nothing...Sheesh!

Frankly, I did not hear the entire Levin program, so I have no idea if he mentioned an EO or not...Right now I am listening to Hannity, and I think your use of the term “bellowing” is clearly an overreach and inappropriate...more snark...So it makes me doubt the rest of what you say.

From what I read McMasters did not just grant access to the former staffers’ personal works, he granted a clearance which is wider in scope...classified clearance/access granted to hostile Obama staff. Great :( Ever hear of a Thumb drive??? Put their papers on a damn thumb drive and don’t grant top secret clearance. Not that difficult to give them their precious papers but not grant classified clearance.

Again, you seem very happy to support the status quo, McMasters, and Obama EO, but that is not in keeping with private sector...and combined with his other actions, he really is suspect to may of us.

As I said, the reason for denying her a CLASSIFIED CLEARANCE (not just access to her papers) is not because she is “icky.” Again a very snarky comment.

1. She is a hostile to Trump.

2. In the private sector they curtail access to former employees because they may use that access against them...Makes sense to everyone but you and perhaps your learned deceased and 94-year old authors.

Tell you what tho, instead of reading any more of your condescending comments, I will actually send an email to the white House suggesting they rescind Obama’s EO instead of just accepting what you perceive to be acceptable status quo.

Oh and maybe I will pick up a copy of Levin’s new book.

Relieving you of your ignorance isn’t insulting you. It may be a mostly pointless task, but it’s not insulting.

Levin isn’t a scholar. He’s at best a popularizer. McDonald wrote for Buckley’s National Review back when it was worth reading. Major conservative scholar. Like the Founding Fathers, he’s now deceased. We can be certain that you won’t read Madison, Jay and Hamilton because they, too, are similarly deceased. Bailyn was the Librarian of Congress. He’s still kicking but evidently too old to pass your test on who’s worth reading.

” and I think your use of the term “bellowing” is clearly an overreach and inappropriate...more snark...So it makes me doubt the rest of what you say.”

Yeah, well at some future time maybe you will learn the difference between normative and positive statements. But probably not.

“From what I read McMasters did not just grant access to the former staffers’ personal works, he granted a clearance which is wider in scope...classified clearance/access granted to hostile Obama staff”

Because it’s so hard to google the EO and actually read what the History clause grants to former officials. Apparently too hard for Hannity since he was just saying whatever popped into his head.

“Again, you seem very happy to support the status quo,”

That’s no more insightful than anything else you’ve said. Congratulations.

“1. She is a hostile to Trump.”

She’s a former senior official. She meets the criteria in the EO.

“2. In the private sector they curtail access to former employees because they may use that access against them.”

So...you didn’t know that her NSA post wasn’t in the private sector? It wasn’t. See how easy that is?

“Oh and maybe I will pick up a copy of Levin’s new book.”

You probably should. It fits you.

Your entire reply smacks of elitistism, and you are beyond boorish.

Though I had begun a reply to all of your insults dripping with condescension... “WE CAN be certain you won’t be reading...” and “Yeah, well at some future time maybe you will learn the difference between normative and positive statements. But probably not.”

However, clearly you are just waaay too full of yourself~a legend in your own mind...So nothing I would say matters to such an erudite scholar...you are not worth my time...

OK to come back with an additional snotty reply, I am done and won’t bother to read it.

People like you are part of the problem.

His Dereliction of Duty book is a condemnation of Vietnam era establishmentarians in both politics and the military. I see no evidence that he decided to become one. Just a lot of rumors coming from unnamed sources.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see how this plays out.

What made we wary of General McMaster is that he was one of the few Trump appointees that the GOP establishment seemed to approve of (along with transparent party hacks like Reince Priebus and the shrill non-entity that is Nikki Haley). They hate Bannon and Miller for obvious reasons, they attacked Tillerson for being on good terms with Putin, Sessions was a "racist" to them, and the neocons disliked General Mattis for some reason (he wasn't pro-Israel enough for them, apparently), but this same crowd had nothing but praise for McMaster.

What does your post have to do with what I said?

There is a law that requires the Embassy be moved to Jerusalem. The President must take action to delay it, as has been done Since Gerald Ford.

I knew a good bit about McMaster long before he was put forward for NSA. Read his book, watched interviews and talks on youtube. I’m certain that most of his newfound critics are far less familiar than that. I never saw any evidence that he has a political agenda, much less one hostile to conservatives.

I grew up around the military. In my experience many military officers are far less politically aware than you would expect, particularly with domestic politics. They know their own field, they know internal service politics. But their focus on foreign policy is different because they are constantly working with foreign govt’s and to them it is very important that we have good relationships with our allies.

And impeachment is what he will get, if he continually ignores the many voices of reason who are on his side. He is an aggravatingly stubborn man.
