WASHINGTON (AP) — The betting was that law-and-order Attorney General Jeff Sessions would come out against the legalized marijuana industry with guns blazing. But the task force Sessions assembled to find the best legal strategy is giving him no ammunition, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.

The Task Force on Crime Reduction and Public Safety, a group of prosecutors and federal law enforcement officials, has come up with no new policy recommendations to advance the attorney general’s aggressively anti-marijuana views. The group’s report largely reiterates the current Justice Department policy on marijuana.

Let people buy it. But if they drive or get involved on other dangerous occupations while stoned nail their ass to the barn door.

There are far more important things to go after. Far better ways for the Justice Department to spend their time and efforts.

Prosecuting Democrat felons is a good place to start.

In DC, there’s always a reason why everything Obama and Company did to transform this country was right . . . and anything social conservatives might care to do to reverse the damage is just unthinkable.

Good. And hopefully AG Sessions takes their advice. The Feds have more important issues to pursue

So you honestly think that vigorously pursuing pot smokers is a good use of federal resources?

Sort of makes one feel sorry for Sessions. He clearly is in a job he is not comfortable with. That job requires a warrior, not a gentleman.

I am highly ticked that Sessions is spending even two seconds on this. Most disappointing cabinet pick by far.

Has the federal government legalized marijuana?

Did I miss it?

If not, I don’t understand the concept of “legal weed.”

Obama didn't legalize weed. Voters did. If social conservatives don't like it, let them pass laws in those states to prohibit it.

The Constitution is a good place to start, particularly the 10th Amendment.

You ignorant fools that know nothing of the illegal pot industry: IT’S RUN BY VIOLENT, DANGEROUS CRIMINALS.
Go up 2 levels from the user (this was one pound back in my day-) and it’s all gangs. People who live lives of crime.

Heck, that’s the main reason why states are experimenting with legalization. Hopefully the social damage will be less than now.
